Kriittisen nettilukemisen tasoa tutkittiin sek\u00e4 tytt\u00f6jen ja poikien ett\u00e4 \nluotettavuuden kyseenalaistamisen ja varmentamisen v\u00e4lill\u00e4. Tutkimus oli osa laajempaa \nYhteis\u00f6llinen ongelmanratkaisu ja nettioppiminen -tutkimushanketta (Collaborative problem solving \nand online inquiry, CoPSOI), jossa tutkittiin suomalaisten 6. luokkalaisten yhteis\u00f6llisi\u00e4 \nongelmanratkaisutaitoja, kognitiivisia prosesseja sek\u00e4 nettilukemisen neuraalista perustaa (Lepp\u00e4nen, \nH\u00e4kkinen, P\u00f6ys\u00e4-Tarhonen, Hautala, Loberg, & Otieno, 2019). Tutkimuksen kysely jaettiin viiteen \neri Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n alueen peruskouluun, joista 243 kuudesluokkalaista vastasi kyselyyn. N\u00e4ist\u00e4 \nvastanneista oppilaista 194 valittiin tutkimuksen toiseen vaiheeseen, jossa heid\u00e4n kriittisen \nnettilukemisensa tasoa mitattiin simuloidussa verkkoymp\u00e4rist\u00f6ss\u00e4 (NEURONE). Oppilaiden \nkriittisen nettilukemisen arviointitaitoja arvioitiin kolmen eri ennalta valitun verkkotekstin avulla \n(blogiteksti, uutiset, yliopiston tiedote), jossa oppilaiden teht\u00e4v\u00e4n\u00e4 oli arvioida niiden luotettavuutta \nja ep\u00e4luotettavuutta. Oppilaiden Internetin k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00e4, Interneti\u00e4 koskevaa min\u00e4pystyvyytt\u00e4 ja asenteita \nsek\u00e4 verkossa luettuja tekstej\u00e4 kartoitettiin CoPSOI-kyselyn avulla, ja oppilaiden kriittisen \nnettilukemisen arviointitaitojen pisteytys seurasi H\u00e4m\u00e4l\u00e4isen ja kollegoiden (2020) laatimaa \nohjeistusta. Faktorianalyysit Interneti\u00e4 koskevalle min\u00e4pystyvyydelle ja asenteille toteutettiin ensin \nennen my\u00f6hempi\u00e4 analyysej\u00e4. Tulokset paljastivat, ett\u00e4 suomalaisten 6. luokkalaisten Internetin \nk\u00e4ytt\u00f6, Interneti\u00e4 koskeva min\u00e4pystyvyys ja asenteet eiv\u00e4t olleet yhteydess\u00e4 kriittisen nettilukemisen \narvioinnin tason kanssa. The study also examined, how boys and girls differed \nin their critical evaluation, and how student-related variables differed in questioning and confirming \ncredibility. The study was part of Collaborative problem-solving and online inquiry: Skills, processes \nand neural basis (CoPSOI) -research project examining Finnish 6\nth graders\u2019 collaborative problem solving skills, cognitive processes, and the neural basis of online inquiry (Lepp\u00e4nen, H\u00e4kkinen, \nP\u00f6ys\u00e4-Tarhonen, Hautala, Loberg, & Otieno, 2019), funded by the Academy of Finland. The \nCoPSOI-questionnaire was administered to 243 6th grade students in five elementary schools in the \nregion of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4. 194 students were further selected to participate in the second part of the study \ndesigned to measure their critical evaluation in a simulated Web environment called NEURONE. The \ncritical evaluation was assessed by focusing on students\u2019 skills in evaluating both the reliability and \nunreliability of three predetermined Web pages (a blog, news, a bulletin). Students\u2019 Internet use, \nInternet self-efficacy, and attitudes, as well as the texts students read online, were measured using the \nCoPSOI-questionnaire, and the scoring for critical evaluation followed the guidelines created by \nH\u00e4m\u00e4l\u00e4inen, Kiili, Marttunen, R\u00e4ikk\u00f6nen, Gonz\u00e1lez-Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez, and Lepp\u00e4nen (2020). Factor analyses \nfor Internet self-efficacy, and attitudes were executed before completing further analyses. The results \nrevealed that 6th graders\u2019 Internet use, Internet self-efficacy, and attitudes did not correlate with the \nperformance in critical evaluation among Finnish 6th graders. However, students\u2019 Internet use, texts \nread online, Internet self-efficacy, and attitudes correlated significantly with each other.
