Aiempi tutkimus on keskittynyt positiiviseen sitoutuneisuuteen, vaikka negatiivinen suhtautuminen on yleisemp\u00e4\u00e4, erityisesti online-ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6ss\u00e4. T\u00e4ll\u00e4 negatiivisella viestinn\u00e4ll\u00e4 voi olla tuhoisia taloudellisia ja maineellisia vaikutuksia organisaatioihin. T\u00e4st\u00e4 syyst\u00e4 erityisesti organisaation ja sen ulkoisten sidosryhmien suhdetta on tutkittu aiemmin. Tutkimusta negatiivisen viestinn\u00e4n vaikutuksista sis\u00e4isiin sidos- ryhmiin on kuitenkin rajallisesti.\nT\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa pyrit\u00e4\u00e4n selvitt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n, millaisia vaikutuksia online-ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6ss\u00e4 ilmenev\u00e4ll\u00e4 negatiivisella viestinn\u00e4ll\u00e4 on organisaation ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6ihin, sill\u00e4 negatiivinen viestint\u00e4 voi saada ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t kyseenalaistamaan heid\u00e4n n\u00e4kemyksens\u00e4 organisaatiosta. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa pyrit\u00e4\u00e4n my\u00f6s ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n, millaisia keinoja ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t k\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4t k\u00e4sitell\u00e4kseen kohtaa- maansa negatiivista viestint\u00e4\u00e4 ja miten negatiiviseen viestint\u00e4\u00e4n reagoidaan organisaation toi- mesta. T\u00e4m\u00e4 tutkimus toteutettiin laadullisen tutkimuksen menetelmin. Aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin puolistrukturoiduilla haastatteluilla valitun kohdeorganisaation seitsem\u00e4lt\u00e4 ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4lt\u00e4.\nTulokset osoittavat, ett\u00e4 negatiivisella viestinn\u00e4ll\u00e4 ei ole ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden kokemuksen mukaan vahvoja tiedostettuja vaikutuksia, sill\u00e4 negatiivista viestint\u00e4\u00e4 ei koettu tarpeeksi merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4ksi. Haastatteluista ilmeni, ett\u00e4 negatiivisuuden kohtaamista helpottaa ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6n tuki ja mahdollisuus k\u00e4sitell\u00e4 sit\u00e4 yhdess\u00e4 muiden samaan viiteryhm\u00e4\u00e4n kuuluvien henkil\u00f6iden kanssa. Tulokset viittaavat, ett\u00e4 kohdeorganisaation ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t kokevat sis\u00e4isen viestinn\u00e4n toisinaan puutteelliseksi ja yksisuuntaiseksi.\nTuloksista voidaan p\u00e4\u00e4tell\u00e4, ett\u00e4 ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t pyrkiv\u00e4t suojelemaan k\u00e4sityst\u00e4\u00e4n organisaationsa identiteetist\u00e4, jotta voivat suojella omaa identiteetti\u00e4\u00e4n. Tulokset osoittavat, ett\u00e4 parhaimmillaan negatiivista viestint\u00e4\u00e4 k\u00e4sitell\u00e4\u00e4n yhdess\u00e4 ja se lis\u00e4\u00e4 ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden tunnetta yhteis\u00f6llisyydest\u00e4. Mik\u00e4li ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4n organisaatioidentiteetti on matala, h\u00e4n todenn\u00e4k\u00f6isemmin irrottautuu tai et\u00e4\u00e4nnytt\u00e4\u00e4 itsens\u00e4 organisaatiosta henkisesti ja/tai fyysisesti. T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tuloksien pohjalta dominoiva tapa reagoida on kuitenkin kognitiivisesti selitt\u00e4\u00e4 negatiivista viestint\u00e4\u00e4 lievemm\u00e4ksi tai aiheettomaksi.
