Sosiaalisen median alustoilla toimivat sosiaaliset kaupat tarjoavat yrityksille ja kuluttajille uusia mahdollisuuksia kaupank\u00e4yntiin. Yrityksille sosiaalinen kauppa tarjoaa lis\u00e4n\u00e4kyvyytt\u00e4 ja uuden tehokkaan markkinointikanavan. Kuluttajien n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta suoraviivaisempi ostoprosessi ja uudet asiakaspalvelukanavat ovat sosiaalisen kaupan mukanaan tuomia etuja. N\u00e4iden mahdollisuuksien my\u00f6t\u00e4 my\u00f6s uusia haasteita nousee esiin, jotka johtuvat esimerkiksi kasvokkain tapahtuvan vuorovaikutuksen v\u00e4henemisest\u00e4. Verkossa tapahtuvalle kaupank\u00e4ynnille ominaiset turvallisuusongelmat ovat my\u00f6s sosiaalisen kaupan haasteena.\nT\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selitt\u00e4\u00e4 luottamuksen edellytyksien vaikutusta kuluttajien luottamukseen sek\u00e4 luottamuksen ja koetun riskin suhdetta sosiaalisessa \nkaupassa. Tutkimuksessa my\u00f6s tarkasteltiin luottamuksen ja koetun riskin vaikutuksia kuluttajien ostoaikomukseen suomalaisten kuluttajien keskuudessa.\nTutkimus toteutettiin kvantitatiivisena survey-tutkimuksena k\u00e4ytt\u00e4en Webropol -\nkyselyohjelmistoa. Verkkokyselyn avulla saatujen tulosten avulla tutkittiin yrityksen maineen, yrityksen koon, tiedon laadun, maksutapahtuman turvallisuuden, yrityksen viestinn\u00e4n ja kuluttajien v\u00e4lisen suusanallisen viestinn\u00e4n vaikutuksia luottamukseen. Muita tutkittavia muuttujia olivat koettu riski ja ostoaikomus.\nTutkimusaineisto ker\u00e4ttiin Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n yliopiston kauppakorkeakoulun opiskelijoilta. Kyselyss\u00e4 k\u00e4ytetyt kysymyspatteristot muodostettiin aiemmista tutkimuksista ja ne \nk\u00e4\u00e4nnettiin englannista suomeksi. Verkkokyselyn avulla saadun aineston koko oli 52 vastausta. Aineisto analysoitiin tilastollisin menetelmin k\u00e4ytt\u00e4en SmartPLS -ohjelmistoa.\nTutkimuksen tulokset tukivat osittain aiemman kirjallisuuden perusteella muodostettuja hypoteeseja. Tulosten my\u00f6t\u00e4 luottamuksen positiivinen vaikutus kuluttajien ostoaikomukseen ja luottamuksen negatiivinen vaikutus kuluttajien kokemaan riskiin vahvistettiin sosiaalisessa kaupank\u00e4ynniss\u00e4.
