Aikaisempi tutkimustieto viittaa siihen, ett\u00e4 tavoitteenasettelusta on hy\u00f6ty\u00e4 tavoitteiden saavuttamisen kannalta etenkin urheilussa ja ty\u00f6el\u00e4m\u00e4ss\u00e4. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkielmassa tavoitteenasetteluteema vietiin koulun liikunnanopetukseen ja selvitettiin, mink\u00e4laisia tavoitteita lukio-opiskelijat asettavat liikuntakurssille ja kuinka he kokivat SMART-tavoitteenasettelun osana LI2 -opintojaksoa.\nT\u00e4m\u00e4 tutkimus oli tapaustutkimus, joka sijoittui lukion liikuntajaksoon joulukuussa 2022 ja tammikuussa 2023. Tutkimukseen osallistuneet opiskelijat olivat 2. ja 3. vuosikurssin lukio-opiskelijoita (n=30), jotka suorittivat pakollista Liikunta 2 opintojaksoa keskisuuressa lukiossa Etel\u00e4-Suomessa. Opiskelijoille esiteltiin tavoitteen asettamisen hy\u00f6tyj\u00e4 sek\u00e4 liikuntajakson tavoitteet ja sis\u00e4ll\u00f6t, jonka j\u00e4lkeen heit\u00e4 ohjeistettiin keksim\u00e4\u00e4n itselleen liikuntajaksoon sopiva tavoite hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4m\u00e4ll\u00e4 SMART-tavoitteenasettelumallia (selke\u00e4, mitattavissa, aikaan sidottu, \nrealistinen ja t\u00e4rke\u00e4). Jakson puolessa v\u00e4liss\u00e4 opiskelijat t\u00e4yttiv\u00e4t seurantalomakkeen, jonka tarkoituksena oli muistutella opiskelijoita omasta tavoitteesta ja sen etenemisest\u00e4. Jakson p\u00e4\u00e4tteeksi 10 opiskelijaa osallistui haastatteluun, joka toimi tutkimuksen toisena aineistona SMART-lomakkeiden lis\u00e4ksi. \nOpiskelijoiden henkil\u00f6kohtaiset tavoitteet (n=34) jakautuivat tuntity\u00f6skentelyyn liittyviin tavoitteisiin (32 %), lihaskunnon parantamiseen liittyviin tavoitteisiin (12 %), kest\u00e4vyyskunnon parantamiseen liittyviin tavoitteisiin (21 %) liikuntataitoon liittyviin tavoitteisiin (21 %) ja arvosanatavoitteisiin (15 %). Haastateltavista (n=10) viisi opiskelijaa koki saavuttaneensa oman tavoitteen ja kolme opiskelijaa saavutti tavoitteensa osittain. Kaikki haastateltavat olivat sit\u00e4 mielt\u00e4, ett\u00e4 tavoitteenasettelua voisi hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 jatkossakin liikunnanopetuksessa sek\u00e4 \nyhdeks\u00e4n kymmenest\u00e4 koki tavoitteenasettelun sopivan my\u00f6s muille lukion kursseille. T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen heikkoutena oli tavoitteenasettelun irrallisuus k\u00e4yt\u00e4nn\u00f6n liikuntatunneista, mutta tulokset ehdottavat vahvasti, ett\u00e4 t\u00e4m\u00e4n tyylist\u00e4 kokeilua kannattaa tulevaisuudessa toteuttaa j\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4llisemmin.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "The aim of this thesis was to investigate the experiences of high school students on goal setting as part of physical education. Previous research suggests that goal setting is useful for goal achievement, especially in sport and work. In this thesis, the topic of goal setting was taken into the context of school physical education to investigate what kind of goals high school students set for their physical education course and how they experienced SMART goal setting as part of the LI2 course.\nThis study was a case study, which took place during a high school physical education period in December 2022 and January 2023.The participants were 2nd and 3rd year high school students (n=30), who were taking a compulsory Physical Education 2 course in a medium sized high school in southern Finland. Students were introduced to the benefits of goal setting and the objectives and content of the PE course, and then instructed to come up with a goal for their PE course using the SMART goal setting model (clear, measurable, time-bound, realistic and important). Halfway through the course, students completed a follow-up sheet to remind them of their goal and its progress. At the end of the course, 10 students participated in an interview, which served as a second set of data for the study, in addition to the SMART forms.\nStudents' personal goals (n=34) were divided into goals related to class work (32 %), goals related to improving muscle fitness (12%), goals related to improving stamina (21%), goals related to physical skills (21%) and grade goals (15%). Of the interviewees (n=10), five students felt that they had achieved their goal and three students felt that they had partially achieved their goal. All interviewees felt that goal-setting could be used in the future in physical education and nine out of ten felt that goal-setting could also be used in other upper secondary school courses.
