Vaikka pk-yhti\u00f6iden menestystekij\u00f6it\u00e4 on historiassa tutkittu paljon, niin aikaisemmat tutkimukset perustuvat vahvasti kasvua tavoitteleviin pk-yhti\u00f6ihin ottamatta juuri kantaa kannattavuusn\u00e4k\u00f6kulmaan. Aiheen tutkiminen on erityisen t\u00e4rke\u00e4\u00e4 ottaen huomioon viimeaikaiset, yhti\u00f6ist\u00e4 riippumattomat ulkopuoliset vaikeudet ja sen, ett\u00e4 pk-yhti\u00f6iden vaikutus Suomen kansantalouteen on suuri. On lis\u00e4ksi t\u00e4rke\u00e4\u00e4 ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4\u00e4 kannattavan kasvun tekij\u00f6it\u00e4 pk-yhti\u00f6iden kontekstissa, jotta yhti\u00f6it\u00e4 pystyt\u00e4\u00e4n kehitt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n tehokkaasti.\nTutkimus on toteutettu laadullisena tutkimuksena ja tutkimusaineisto on ker\u00e4tty haastattelemalla 10 kannattavasti kasvavan pk-yhti\u00f6n toimitusjohtajaa. Haastattelut toteutettiin puolistrukturoituina teemahaastatteluina ja aineisto on analysoitu k\u00e4ytt\u00e4en laadullisia menetelmi\u00e4. Tutkimuksen tulosten perusteella pk-yhti\u00f6iss\u00e4 strategiaty\u00f6 on yksin\u00e4ist\u00e4 ja usein vain yksi ihminen on vastuussa sen suunnittelusta ja t\u00e4yt\u00e4nt\u00f6\u00f6npanosta. Tulosten perusteella voidaan my\u00f6s todeta yrityksen arvojen, kuten palveluiden ja tuotteiden laadun, asiakaspalvelun, ja henkil\u00f6st\u00f6hallinnon merkitys strategisen painopisteen m\u00e4\u00e4rittelyss\u00e4. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa onnistuttiin my\u00f6s tunnistamaan uusia haasteita pk-yhti\u00f6iden toiminnassa.\nTulevissa tutkimuksissa voitaisiin hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 suurempaa otoskokoa, erilaisia organisaation sis\u00e4isi\u00e4 sidosryhmi\u00e4 ja useita eri n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmia, jotta saataisiin kattavampi k\u00e4sitys pk-yhti\u00f6iden strategisesta p\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6ksenteosta.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "Finland's economic recovery after the economic crisis that started in 2008 and the COVID-19 pandemic is largely based on the success of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). While there has been a great deal of research on the success factors of SMEs in the past, previous studies have mostly been focusing on growth-seeking SMEs, without thoroughly considering the aspect of profitability. This topic is particularly important given the recent external difficulties beyond the control of the companies and the essential contribution of SMEs to the Finnish economy. It is also important to understand the factors of profitable growth in the context of SMEs, in order for them to be efficiently developed.\nThe study has been conducted as a qualitative study and the data has been acquired through interviews with 10 CEOs of profitably growing SMEs. The interviews were conducted as semi-structured thematic interviews and the data was analysed using qualitative methods. The results of the study show that in SMEs, strategy work is solitary, and often only one person is responsible for its design and implementation. The results also highlight the importance of company values, such as the quality of service and products, customer service and human resources management in defining the strategic focus.
