Tutkimuksessa pyrittiin selvitt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n, mit\u00e4 vuorovaikutuskeinoja valmentajat k\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4t ottelutilanteissa ja mitk\u00e4 tekij\u00e4t vaikuttavat kyseisten vuorovaikutuskeinojen valintaan. \n\nTutkimuksen kohderyhm\u00e4n\u00e4 toimivat nelj\u00e4 7-10 vuotiaiden juniorijalkapallojoukkueen p\u00e4\u00e4valmentajaa. Tutkimuksessa havainnoitiin valmentajien k\u00e4ytt\u00e4mi\u00e4 vuorovaikutuskeinoja kahdeksassa ottelussa k\u00e4ytt\u00e4en apuna muokattua versiota Arizonan osavaltion yliopiston havainnointij\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4st\u00e4 (ASUOI). Lis\u00e4ksi valmentajia haastateltiin puolistrukturoidulla haastattelumenetelm\u00e4ll\u00e4 v\u00e4litt\u00f6m\u00e4sti pelien j\u00e4lkeen k\u00e4ytt\u00e4mist\u00e4\u00e4n vuorovaikutuskeinoista. Sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysissa k\u00e4ytettiin teoriaohjaavaa sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysia. Tutkimuksen teoreettisena pohjana toimi muokatun ASUOI havainnointij\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n luokat. \n\nTutkimustulokset osoittavat, valmentajien k\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4n laajasti eri vuorovaikutuskeinoja ottelun aikana. Tutkimuksessa k\u00e4ytetyin vuorovaikutuskeino oli ajallisesti hiljaisuus ja m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4llisesti kehuminen. Valmentajien k\u00e4ytt\u00e4m\u00e4t vuorovaikutuskeinot otteluiden aikana vaihtelivat lyhyiss\u00e4 sykleiss\u00e4 \u2013 hiljaa pelien seuraamiseen, ohjeisiin, palautteeseen ja kannustamiseen sek\u00e4 kehumiseen. Vuorovaikutuskeinon valintaan ohjasivat valmentajan henkil\u00f6kohtaiset arvot, persoonallisuus, seuran linjaukset ja pelaajien persoonallisuus.\n\nTutkimustulosten perusteella voidaan todeta valmentajien k\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4n suorituskyky\u00e4 kehitt\u00e4vi\u00e4 vuorovaikutuskeinojen yhdess\u00e4 rohkaisevien vuorovaikutuskeinojen kanssa. Lis\u00e4ksi valmentajien haastatteluissa esiin tuomien vuorovaikutuskeinojen ja otteluissa havaittujen vuorovaikutuskeinojen v\u00e4lill\u00e4 voidaan n\u00e4hd\u00e4 olleen ristiriitaa. In addition, the aim was also to find out what means of interaction coaches use and which factors affect when choosing them. \n\nAs a target group in this study, there were 4 head coaches from football teams that were between the age group of 7 to 10. In this study means of interaction in matches were observed by using a modified version of the Arizona State University Observation Instrument (ASUOI). In addition, coaches were interviewed about the means of interaction with the semi-structured interview method right after matches. Theory guided content analysis was used and categories of the modified ASUOI system served as the theoretical basis of the study.\n\nThe research results show that coaches widely use different means of interaction during matches. In the study, the most used mean of interaction was silence in terms of time and praise in terms of quantity. The means of interaction used by the coaches during the matches ranged in short cycles from quietly following the matches, giving instructions, giving feedback and encouragement and praising. The choice of means of interaction was guided by the coach\u2019s personal values, personality, the club\u2019s policies and the personality of the players.\n\nAs a conclusion of the study, it can be stated that the coaches use performance interaction methods together with encouraging interaction methods. In addition, it can be seen that there was a discrepancy between the means of interaction brought up by the coaches in the interviews and the means of interaction observed in the matches.
