Lis\u00e4ksi \ntarkoituksena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, onko liikuntapedagogiikan opiskelijoiden min\u00e4pystyvyydess\u00e4 eroja \nopintojen eri vaiheissa, ja onko liikunnan opetuksen osa-alueiden tai eri liikuntaymp\u00e4rist\u00f6jen \nmin\u00e4pystyvyyksien v\u00e4lill\u00e4 keskin\u00e4isi\u00e4 yhteyksi\u00e4.\nTutkimuksen kohderyhm\u00e4 muodostui Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n yliopiston liikuntatieteellisen tiedekunnan \nliikuntapedagogiikan opiskelijoista, jotka olivat aloittaneet opintonsa vuosien 2018\u20132022\nv\u00e4lill\u00e4 (N=221). Tutkimus oli osa liikuntatieteellisen tiedekunnan opiskelijoiden \nopetusvalmiuksia ja osaamisen kehittymist\u00e4 koskevaa tutkimusta. Tutkimus toteutettiin \ns\u00e4hk\u00f6isell\u00e4 opiskelijan osaaminen ja valmiudet -kyselylomakkeella syksyll\u00e4 2022\nliikuntapedagogiikan opintojen yhteydess\u00e4. Tutkimuskysely muodostui 44 v\u00e4itt\u00e4m\u00e4st\u00e4, joissa \nopiskelijoita pyydettiin arvioimaan, miten luottavaisia he olivat kyvyist\u00e4\u00e4n suoriutua erilaisista \nliikunnan opettamiseen liittyvist\u00e4 teht\u00e4vist\u00e4. V\u00e4itt\u00e4miin vastattiin asteikolla 1\u201310. Tutkimuksen\nvastausprosentiksi muodostui 80,7 %. Tutkimusaineistoa analysoitiin kvantitatiivisesti\nyksisuuntaisella varianssianalyysill\u00e4 sek\u00e4 Pearsonin korrelaatiokertoimella. Aineiston \nkuvaamisen k\u00e4ytettiin lis\u00e4ksi frekvenssej\u00e4, keskiarvoja, keskihajontaa sek\u00e4 prosenttijakaumia. \nTutkimuksen luotettavuutta tutkittiin Cronbachin alfa -kertoimella.\nTutkimustuloksemme osoittivat, ett\u00e4 opiskelijoiden min\u00e4pystyvyys oli korkein teknologian \nhy\u00f6dynt\u00e4misen sek\u00e4 oppilaiden taitotason huomioimisen osa-alueilla. Matalimmaksi \nmin\u00e4pystyvyys koettiin erityist\u00e4 tukea tarvitsevien oppilaiden opettamisessa sek\u00e4 arvioinnissa. \nVoimakkaimmat keskin\u00e4iset yhteydet l\u00f6ytyiv\u00e4t taitotason huomioimisen ja ohjeiden annon, \nsek\u00e4 tieteellisen tiedon ja sis\u00e4ll\u00f6n hallinnan kesken. Eri liikuntaymp\u00e4rist\u00f6ist\u00e4 min\u00e4pystyvyys \nkoettiin korkeimmaksi vapaa-ajan pelien sek\u00e4 palloilun opettamisessa, ja matalimmaksi\nerilaisten tanssien ja rytmiliikunnan opettamisessa. Ainoastaan rytmiliikunnan ja erilaisten \ntanssien v\u00e4linen yhteys oli voimakas. Lis\u00e4ksi uinti ja vesiturvallisuus oli liikuntaymp\u00e4rist\u00f6ist\u00e4 \nainoa, joka oli kohtalaisesti yhteydess\u00e4 kaikkien ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6jen kanssa. Korkeimmaksi \nmin\u00e4pystyvyytens\u00e4 liikunnan opetuksen osa-alueilla sek\u00e4 eri liikuntaymp\u00e4rist\u00f6iss\u00e4 kokivat \nl\u00e4hes aina kolmannen tai nelj\u00e4nnen vuosikurssin opiskelijat, ja matalimmaksi puolestaan \nensimm\u00e4isen tai toisen vuosikurssin opiskelijat. \nTutkimustuloksemme osoittavat, ett\u00e4 liikunnanopettajakoulutukseen voisi lis\u00e4t\u00e4 \narviointitaitojen kehitt\u00e4mist\u00e4 sek\u00e4 erityist\u00e4 tukea tarvitsevien oppilaiden opettamiseen liittyvi\u00e4 \nsis\u00e4lt\u00f6j\u00e4. Lis\u00e4ksi koulutuksessa voisi olla enemm\u00e4n rytmiliikunnan ja erilaisten tanssien \nsis\u00e4lt\u00f6j\u00e4 sek\u00e4 opetusharjoitteluita. Furthermore, \nthe purpose was to find differences in the self-efficacy of pre-service PE teachers during the \ndifferent phases of their studies and whether correlations exist between the subareas of teaching \nPE or the different physical exercise environments.\nThe target group of this study consisted of students from Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 University\u2019s faculty of Sport \nand Health Sciences who began their studies during 2018-2022 (N=221). This study was a part \nof the Sport and Health Sciences faculty\u2019s research on its students\u2019 teaching readiness and \ncompetence development. The study was conducted through an electronic questionnaire on the \nstudents\u2019 teaching readiness and competence during the fall studies of 2022. The questionnaire \nconsisted of 44 claims, where the students were asked to assess how confident they were of \ntheir skills in performing teaching PE related tasks. The claims had an answer scale of 1\u201310. \nThe overall response rate was 80.7 %. The research material was analyzed quantitatively \nthrough a one-way variance analysis and the Pearson\u2019s correlation coefficient. Additional \nanalysis on the material utilized frequencies, averages, standard deviation and percentage \ndistributions. The reliability of the research material was examined with the Cronbach alfa \ncoefficient.\nThe results of our study suggested that the students\u2019 self-efficacy was at its highest in the \nsubareas of using technology and accommodating skill level differences between pupils. The \nlowest self-efficacy was experienced in teaching students with special needs and assessment. \nThe strongest correlations were between accommodating skill level differences and instruction, \nand between PE content knowledge and applying scientific knowledge in teaching PE. The self efficacy of the different physical exercise environments was the strongest in teaching leisurely \ngames and ball games, whereas the weakest self-efficacy was in teaching different dances and \nrhythmic exercise. The only strong correlation was between rhythmic exercise and different \ndances. Additionally, teaching swimming and water related safety was the only environment \nwhich had a moderate correlation to all other environments. The highest self-efficacy in the \nsubareas of teaching PE and in the different physical exercise environments were almost always \nexperienced by students in their third or fourth year of their studies, whereas the weakest by \nstudents in their first or second year.\nAccording to the results of our study, the subareas of assessment and teaching students with \nspecial needs could be developed further in the pre-service physical education curriculum.\nFurthermore, it could be beneficial to incorporate more content for rhythmic exercise, different \ndances and teaching apprenticeships.
