Tarkastelussa on palkitsemisen kokonaisuuden eli aineellisten ja aineettomien palkitsemismenetelmien rooli sitoutumisessa. Lis\u00e4ksi tarkastellaan, miten oikeudenmukaisuus n\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytyy palkitsemisen osalta, ja mink\u00e4lainen vaikutus sill\u00e4 on sitoutumiseen. Tutkimusaineisto ker\u00e4ttiin laadullisin menetelmin, puolistrukturoiduilla teemahaastatteluilla haastattelemalla kuutta z-sukupolven edustajaa. Saatu aineisto analysoitiin teemoittelemalla. Teoreettinen viitekehys muodostuu aiemmasta kirjallisuudesta ja tutkimuksista koskien z-sukupolvea. Lis\u00e4ksi keski\u00f6ss\u00e4 on Meyerin & Allenin (1991) kolmen komponentin sitoutumismalli, palkitseminen sek\u00e4 palkitsemisen kokonaisuus Hakosen & Nylanderin (2015) esitt\u00e4m\u00e4n\u00e4 sek\u00e4 J. Stacy Adamsin (1965) oikeudenmukaisuusteoria. Tutkimustulokset esitt\u00e4v\u00e4t, ett\u00e4 z-sukupolven osalta palkitseminen n\u00e4hd\u00e4\u00e4n eritt\u00e4in merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4n\u00e4 tekij\u00e4n\u00e4 organisaatioon sitoutumisessa. Erityisesti aineettomien palkitsemismenetelmien merkitys on huomattava, vaikkakin arvostus my\u00f6s aineellisten palkitsemismenetelmien osalta on suuri. Tutkimuksessa tunnistettiin affektiiviseen sek\u00e4 jatkuvuussitoutumiseen liittyvi\u00e4 piirteit\u00e4. Piirteit\u00e4 normatiivisesta sitoutumisesta ei esiintynyt. Suuren osan z-sukupolven edustajista tunnistettiin kokevan palkitsemisen ep\u00e4oikeudenmukaisena alipalkitsemisen kautta, mink\u00e4 n\u00e4htiin olevan yhteydess\u00e4 laskevasti organisaatioon sitoutumiseen. Ep\u00e4oikeudenmukaisuutta korjataan palkan-korotusta vaatimalla, ty\u00f6panosta muokkaamalla sek\u00e4 ty\u00f6st\u00e4 irtisanoutumalla. Tutkimus tarjoaa organisaatioille informaatiota z-sukupolven ajatuksista ja k\u00e4yt\u00f6ksest\u00e4 puhuttaessa organisaatioon sitoutumisesta.
