Kirjallisuusosassa perehdyttiin tarkemmin peptidipohjaisiintransienttigeeleihin ja niiden\nominaisuuksiin sek\u00e4 valmistamiseen.\nTutkielman kokeellisessa osassa tutkittiin kemiallisesti aktiivisten orgaanisten liuottimien ja\nhappopitoisuuden vaikutusta geelien itsej\u00e4rjest\u00e4ytymiseen, geeliytymismekanismiin ja muodostuvien\norganogeelien rakenteeseen. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa organogeelien muodostamiseen k\u00e4ytettiin\naminohappopohjaista prekursorigelaattoria (Boc-Phe-Phe-OtBu). Boc-suojaryhm\u00e4n selektiivinen\npoisto tert-butyyliryhm\u00e4n l\u00e4sn\u00e4 ollessa aiheutti geeliytymisen. Orgaanisten liuottimien vaikutuksia\ngeeliytymiseen ja geelien rakenteeseen tutkittiin NMR- ja FT-IR-spektroskopialla,\nmassaspektrometrialla, pyyhk\u00e4isyelektronimikroskopialla (SEM) ja erilaisilla geeleille tehdyill\u00e4\nkokeilla. K\u00e4ytettyjen orgaanisten liuottimien osoitettiin tukevan geelien muodostumista, osallistuvan\ngeeliytymisprosessiin sek\u00e4 vaikuttavan geelin spatiotemporaalisiin ominaisuuksiin.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "The literature part of this master\u2019s thesis deals with transient gels and their potential applications.\nSpecial emphasis was put on peptide-based transient gels and their properties.\nThe experimental part of the thesis focuses on the effect of chemically active organic solvents and\nacid concentration on the temporal self-assembly, the gelation mechanism and the network of in situ\nformed organogels. In this study, the amino acid-based precursor gelator (Boc-Phe-Phe-OtBu) was\nused to form organogels. The selective deprotection reaction of the Boc group in the attendance of\nthe tert-butyl group was the driving force of the gelation. The effects of organic solvents on gelation\nand the structure of the gels were investigated by NMR and FT-IR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry,\nscanning electron microscopy (SEM), and various other experiments on the gels.
