Lis\u00e4ksi tutkimuksella pyrittiin saamaan esiin k\u00e4sityksi\u00e4 siit\u00e4, miten liikunnanopettajat voisivat olla tukemassa luokan- ja aineenopettajia ulkoilmaopetuksen suunnittelussa ja toteutuksessa.\n\nTutkimus toteutettiin kvalitatiivisella eli laadullisella tutkimusotteella, ja aineistonkeruun menetelm\u00e4n\u00e4 k\u00e4ytettiin puolistrukturoitua teemahaastattelua. Tutkimuksessa haastateltiin nelj\u00e4\u00e4 opettajaa, jotka olivat k\u00e4ytt\u00e4neet v\u00e4hint\u00e4\u00e4n vuoden ajan ulkoilmaopetusta yhten\u00e4 opetusmenetelm\u00e4n\u00e4 perusopetuksessa. Keskim\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4inen haastattelun pituus oli 38 minuuttia (36\u201341min) ja litteroitua aineistoa haastatteluista muodostui yhteens\u00e4 39 sivua. Tutkimuksessa k\u00e4ytettiin aineistol\u00e4ht\u00f6ist\u00e4 sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysi\u00e4, ja l\u00e4hestymistapa oli fenomenologis-hermeneuttinen, koska tutkimuksessa pyrittiin ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n opettajien kokemuksia ja merkitysmaailmaa tarkasteltavasta ilmi\u00f6st\u00e4 sen sijaan, ett\u00e4 olisi tavoiteltu yleistett\u00e4vyytt\u00e4.\n\nTutkimus osoitti, ett\u00e4 ulkoilmaopetus voi edist\u00e4\u00e4 oppilaiden fyysist\u00e4 aktiivisuutta. Fyysist\u00e4 aktiivisuutta edist\u00e4vin\u00e4 tekij\u00f6in\u00e4 havaittiin siirtym\u00e4t, monipuoliset ulko-oppimisymp\u00e4rist\u00f6t, seikkailu- ja el\u00e4myspedagogiset menetelm\u00e4t sek\u00e4 opetuksen toiminnallisuus. Tutkimus vahvisti ulkoilmaopetuksen olevan monipuolinen opetusmenetelm\u00e4, joka soveltuu eri oppiaineisiin ja ik\u00e4ryhmille sek\u00e4 erityist\u00e4 tukea tarvitseville oppilaille. Ulkoilmaopetusta voidaan toteuttaa esimerkiksi lyhyt- ja pidempiaikaisten oppimisprosessien, yhteisopettajuuden, monialaisten oppimiskokonaisuuksien ja tutkivan ja kokemuksellisen oppimisen keinoin. Ulkoilmaopetuksella koettiin olevan positiivia vaikutuksia opettajien ty\u00f6hyvinvoinnille. Lis\u00e4ksi liikunnanopettajan koettiin voivan auttaa luokan- ja aineenopettajia ulkoilmaopetuksen toteuttamisessa opetuksen ideointiavun, v\u00e4lineist\u00f6st\u00e4 vastaamisen ja koulun toimintakulttuurin muutokseen osallistumisen kautta.\n\nTutkimuksen johtop\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6ksen\u00e4 voitiin todeta ulkoilmaopetuksen olevan yksi pedagoginen valinta ja keino, jolla voidaan auttaa ratkaisemaan yhteiskunnallista liikkumattomuuden ongelmaa, opettaa kest\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4 tulevaisuutta ja lis\u00e4t\u00e4 oppilaiden ja opettajien kokonaisvaltaista hyvinvointia luonnon hyvinvointivaikutuksien kautta.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "The purpose of this study was to provide empirical data on the experiences, observations and perceptions of outdoor education as a means of promoting physical activity among students, and on the implementation of outdoor education as part of classroom and subject teaching in primary education. In addition, the study aimed to elicit perceptions on how physical education teachers could support classroom and subject teachers in planning and implementing outdoor education.\n\nThe study was conducted using a qualitative research approach, and a semi-structured thematic interviews were used as the data collection method. The study interviewed four teachers who had used outdoor education as a teaching method in primary education for at least one year. The average length of the interview was 38 minutes (range from 36 to 41minutes) and the transcribed material from the interviews consisted of a total of 39 pages. The study used a data-driven content analysis and a phenomenological-hermeneutic approach, as the study sought to understand the teachers' experiences and meanings of the phenomenon under investigation, rather than seeking generalisability.\n\nThe study showed that outdoor education can promote physical activity among pupils. Transitions, varied outdoor learning environments, adventure and experiential education methods and the functional nature of teaching were identified as factors that promote physical activity. The study confirmed that outdoor education is a versatile teaching method, suitable for different subjects and age groups, as well as for pupils with special needs. Outdoor education can be implemented through short and longer learning processes, co-teaching, multidisciplinary learning contexts, exploratory and experiential learning. Outdoor learning was seen to have a positive impact on teachers' well-being at work.
