Siihen liittyv\u00e4t sek\u00e4 puheen tuoton ett\u00e4 ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4misen vaikeudet, jotka voivat vaikuttaa toimintakykyyn aikuisuuteen saakka. Kehityksellist\u00e4 kielih\u00e4iri\u00f6t\u00e4 esiintyy jonkinasteisena noin 7 %:lla suomalaislapsista. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 pro gradu -ty\u00f6ss\u00e4 kielellisill\u00e4 pulmilla viitataan etiologiasta riippumatta toimintakykyyn vaikuttaviin puheen ja vuorovaikutuksen ongelmiin. Kyselytutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, kuinka liikuntaseurat t\u00e4ll\u00e4 hetkell\u00e4 tukevat kielellisi\u00e4 pulmia omaavia lapsia, millaisia esteit\u00e4 seurat tunnistavat tukemisessa ja millaisia toimenpiteit\u00e4 tukemisen edist\u00e4miseksi he pit\u00e4v\u00e4t realistisesti toteutettavina. \n\nAineisto ker\u00e4ttiin kev\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 2022 yhteisty\u00f6ss\u00e4 Aivoliiton kanssa kyselytutkimuksella, johon vastasi 85 i\u00e4lt\u00e4\u00e4n 5\u201310-vuotiaiden lasten parissa toimivaa seuraa. Valtaosa seuroista oli keskisuuria, 100\u2013500 j\u00e4senen seuroja. Yhden lajin seuroja tutkimukseen vastanneista oli 48 % ja monilajiseuroja 52 %.\n\n30 %:lla seuroista oli k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4 toiminnoissaan puhetta tukevia ja korvaavia kommunikointikeinoja (AAC) joko normaalissa tai erityislapsille suunnatuissa toiminnassa. Eniten tukikeinoja oli k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4 suurissa (yli 500 j\u00e4sent\u00e4) seuroissa. K\u00e4ytetyimpi\u00e4 tukikeinoja olivat ilmeet ja eleet sek\u00e4 kuvat. Seuroista 86 % koki, ett\u00e4 he voisivat tukea kielellisi\u00e4 pulmia omaavia lapsia nykyist\u00e4 enemm\u00e4n. Suurimmiksi esteiksi nimettiin ohjaajien osaamisen vaje, kysynn\u00e4n v\u00e4h\u00e4isyys ja rajallinen ohjausaika. Kysytt\u00e4ess\u00e4, mik\u00e4 voisi auttaa seuraa tukemaan kielellisi\u00e4 pulmia omaavia lapsia paremmin, n\u00e4htiin keinoiksi ohjaajien osaamisen vahvistaminen, ohjausresurssien lis\u00e4\u00e4minen sek\u00e4 avustajat. Lis\u00e4tietoa seurat toivoivat erityisesti saavansa konkreettisista puhetta tukevista ja korvaavista kommunikaatiokeinoista sek\u00e4 toiminnanohjauksen tuesta. \n\nSuomalaisista liikuntaseuroista enemmist\u00f6 ei t\u00e4ll\u00e4 hetkell\u00e4 tee aktiivisesti toimenpiteit\u00e4 kielellisi\u00e4 pulmia omaavien lasten huomioimiseksi. Tukemisen estein\u00e4 n\u00e4hd\u00e4\u00e4n tyypillisimmin osaamisen vaje sek\u00e4 resurssit. Seurat kuitenkin kokevat, ett\u00e4 voisivat huomioida lapset paremmin ja nostivat esiin erityisesti koulutuksen merkityksen. The delay may occur in speech production, understanding, and interaction. Most children overtake the delay by pre-school age. Whether the delay is prolonged, it is labelled a disorder. For example, an autism spectrum disorder or a developmental language disorder (DLD) can be an underlying cause for disorder. In DLD, the child's linguistic abilities do not develop according to age and other cognitive development. DLD may consist of difficulties in both speech production and understanding, and it may affect the functional capacity until adulthood. About 7% of Finnish children have a form of DLD. In this Master's thesis, language disorders refer to speech and interaction difficulties affecting the functional capacity regardless from the etiology. The aim of the thesis was to study how sports clubs currently support children with language and interaction difficulties, what kind of barriers the clubs recognize for the support and what kind of measures clubs consider to be realistically feasible.\n\nThe data was collected during the spring 2022 in cooperation with Finnish Brain Association through a survey. The survey was answered by 85 sports clubs working with children aged 5\u201310. Most of the sports clubs were medium-sized with 100\u2013500 members. 48 % of respondents were single-sports clubs and 52 % were multi-sports clubs.\n\n30 % of the sports clubs used augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) in their activities, either in normal activities or in activities with children with special needs. AAC was used the most in large (more than 500 members) sports clubs. Facial expressions and gestures, and pictures were the most used AAC means. 86 % of the respondents felt that they could support children with language and interaction difficulties more than the present situation. The lack of competence of coaches, low demand and limited time were identified as the greatest barriers. According to the sports clubs, strengthening coaches\u2019 skills, increasing guidance resources, and assistants would aid sports clubs to support children with language and interaction difficulties better. The sports clubs desired further information about concrete AAC means, as well as ways to support executive functions.\n\nCurrently, the majority of Finnish sports clubs do not actively take measures to acknowledge children with language and interaction difficulties. The barriers for supporting are lack of skills and resources. However, the sports clubs experience that they could pay more attention to the children with language and interaction difficulties and highlighted the importance of education.
