Tutkimus toteutettiin verkkokyselyn\u00e4 yhden oppilaitoksen opettajille (n=24). Kyselyyn vastasi kymmenen (10) opettajaa. Kyselyss\u00e4 oli sek\u00e4 monivalintakysymyksi\u00e4, ett\u00e4\navoimia kysymyksi\u00e4. Saadut vastaukset olivat johdonmukaisia ja kattavia. Tuloksia tulkittiin laadullisin menetelmin ryhmittelem\u00e4ll\u00e4 ja teemoittelemalla.\nKaikki vastaajat kertoivat hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4v\u00e4ns\u00e4 teknologiaa opetuksessa ainakin viikoittain, suurin osa (n=8) p\u00e4ivitt\u00e4in. Seitsem\u00e4n vastaajaa koki teknologian hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4misen vaikuttavan opetukseen p\u00e4\u00e4osin positiivisesti. Sen katsottiin etenkin monipuolistavan ty\u00f6tapoja ja materiaaleja sek\u00e4 nostavan opiskelijoiden intoa, aktiivisuutta, itsen\u00e4ist\u00e4 toimintaa ja keskittymist\u00e4.\n\nKaksi vastaajaa ei kokenut teknologian hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4misen vaikuttavan kumpaankaan suuntaan ja yksi piti vaikutuksia negatiivisina. Kaikkien ryhmien edustajat toivat avoimissa vastauksissa esiin sek\u00e4 teknologian hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4misen etuja, ett\u00e4 haasteita. Vastaajat, jotka kokivat teknologian hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4misess\u00e4 eniten etuja, my\u00f6s hy\u00f6dynsiv\u00e4t teknologiaa monipuolisimmin ja olivat hankkineet eniten koulutusta teknologian opetusk\u00e4yt\u00f6st\u00e4.\n\nSamankaltaisia tuloksia on saatu aiemmissa teknologian opetusk\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00e4 k\u00e4sitteleviss\u00e4 tutkimuksissa Suomesta ja ulkomailta. Teknologian hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4mist\u00e4 maahanmuuttajien perusopetuksessa Suomessa on tutkittu niukasti ja t\u00e4m\u00e4 ty\u00f6 t\u00e4ydent\u00e4\u00e4 tutkimuskent\u00e4ll\u00e4 olevaa aukkoa ja antaa suuntaviivoja aiheen tarkemmalle tutkimukselle.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "In this work I was reviewing how teachers in Finnish basic education for adult\nimmigrants are utilizing technology in their work and what kind of attitudes they have on\nthe impacts technology brings in teaching. This study was implemented as internet survey\nto the teachers (n=24) of one school. The survey was answered by ten (10) teachers. There\nwere both multiple choice questions and open ended questions in the survey. The answers\nwere coherent and diverse. The results were studied in qualitative methods by grouping and\norganizing the answers by theme.\n\nAll respondents told they were utilizing technology in their teaching at least on weekly ba-\nsis, most (n=8) used technology every day. Seven respondents felt that the impacts techno-\nlogy had on teaching were mostly positive. Technology was seen to have given diversity to \nworking methods and materials and having positive impact to students\u2019 motivation, activity, \nindependent working and concentration. Two of the respondents didn\u2019t feel that technology had impact to any direction. One respondent felt that the impacts were mainly negative.\n\nRespondents of all of these groups were reporting both advantages and challenges in the use\nof techonology in teaching. Those respondents who had the most positive attitude towards\nthe use of technology, were also utilizing it the most and had more education of the use of\ntechnology.\nThe results are similar to other studies made in this field both in Finland and abroad. Specific\nstudies on technology usage in the adult immigrant basic education teaching in Finland are\nrare and this work is giving more information to fill this gap in the field of study.
