Organisaatiot odottavat, ett\u00e4 ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t viestiv\u00e4t aktiivisesti eik\u00e4 viestint\u00e4 ole en\u00e4\u00e4 vain viestinn\u00e4n ammattilaisten vastuulla (Madsen & Verhoeven, 2019). Odotusten tunnistaminen ja monitorointi on koettu tehokkaaksi tavaksi pysy\u00e4 muuttuvan ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6n mukana (Ledingham, 2003). Ilmi\u00f6t\u00e4 on kuitenkin tutkittu vain v\u00e4h\u00e4n ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta, mink\u00e4 vuoksi t\u00e4m\u00e4 tutkimus pyrki parantamaan nykyist\u00e4 ymm\u00e4rryst\u00e4: miten ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t n\u00e4kev\u00e4t muutoksen ja millaisia odotuksia heill\u00e4 on organisaatiota ja sis\u00e4ist\u00e4 viestint\u00e4\u00e4 sek\u00e4 heit\u00e4 itse\u00e4\u00e4n kohtaan sek\u00e4 millaisia odotuksia he kokevat tulevan organisaation suunnasta. Tutkimus toteutettiin tapaustutkimuksena yhdess\u00e4 organisaatiossa. Ensimm\u00e4isess\u00e4 teoriaosuudessa tarkasteltiin ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden roolia sis\u00e4isess\u00e4 viestinn\u00e4ss\u00e4 sis\u00e4isen viestinn\u00e4n, viestinn\u00e4llistyv\u00e4n ty\u00f6n ja viestint\u00e4toimijuuden n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmista. Toisessa teoriaosuudessa k\u00e4siteltiin odotuksia ja odotustenhallintaa esittelem\u00e4ll\u00e4 ensin k\u00e4sitteit\u00e4, jotka sitovat sis\u00e4isen viestinn\u00e4n ja odotukset yhteen: luottamus, suhteet ja tyytyv\u00e4isyys. Tutkimus toteutettiin kvalitatiivisena tutkimuksena puolistrukturoitua haastattelumenetelm\u00e4\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4en, sill\u00e4 tavoitteena oli syvent\u00e4\u00e4 ymm\u00e4rryst\u00e4 aiheesta. Kahdeksaa ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4\u00e4 haastateltiin tutkimusta varten ja ker\u00e4tty data analysoitiin aineistol\u00e4ht\u00f6ist\u00e4 sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysia hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4en. Ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden odotuksia tarkasteltaessa voidaan todeta, ett\u00e4 ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t ovat ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4neet heid\u00e4n kasvavan viestint\u00e4roolin organisaatiossa. Tunnistamisesta huolimatta ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t eiv\u00e4t ole kuitenkaan t\u00e4ysin hyv\u00e4ksyneet kaikkia odotuksia osaksi rooliaan. Voidaan my\u00f6s todeta, ett\u00e4 ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden odotukset ovat monitasoinen ilmi\u00f6, joista kriittisimpin\u00e4 organisaation on huomioitava ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden minimiodotukset, jotta he voivat minimoida kriisej\u00e4. Ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden roolit muuttuvat kuitenkin jatkuvasti viestint\u00e4ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6n vaatimusten, ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden sek\u00e4 organisaatioiden tavoitteiden mukaan.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "The constantly changing and complex environment has influenced organizations\u2019 communicative environment and the increase of employees\u2019 communication roles in corporate communication (Pekkala, 2021). Organizations expect employees to communicate actively, and communications is no longer only the responsibility of communications professionals (Madsen & Verhoeven, 2019). Recognizing and monitoring expectations have been seen effective to keep up with the changing environment (Ledingham, 2003). The phenomenon has hardly been studied from employees' perspective which is why this study aims to improve the current understanding of how employees perceive their role and what kind of expectations they have towards the organization and internal communication and towards themselves about internal communication. In addition, the expectations that they think come from organization about internal communication is studied. The study was conducted as a case study in one organization. In theory, employees\u2019 role in internal communications were inspected from the perspective of internal communication, communicative work and professional agency in communication. The second part of the theory explored the expectations and expectations management introducing first concepts that connect internal communications and expectations: trust, relationship and satisfaction. The study was conducted as qualitative research with semi-structured interviews as the aim was to deepen the understanding of the topic. Eight employees from the case organization were interviewed and the collected data was analyzed with inductive data-driven content analysis method. It can be concluded that the employees have understood their increasing communication role in the organization. Despite the recognition, however, the employees have not fully accepted all expectations as part of their roles. It can also be stated that employees' expectations are multi-level phenomenon, the most critical of which the organization must consider the employees' minimum expectations so that they can minimize crises.
