Aiheen tutkiminen on t\u00e4rke\u00e4\u00e4, jotta organisaatiot saavat enemm\u00e4n tietoa tuekseen p\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6ksenteossa liittyen asiakkaiden osallistamiseen osana palveluiden innovaatiota. Aiheen tutkiminen auttaa organisaatioita my\u00f6s v\u00e4ltt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n arvon yhteistuhoamista tulevaisuudessa. Asiakkaisiin keskittyminen aiheen tutkimuksessa on t\u00e4rke\u00e4\u00e4, sill\u00e4 asiakkaan n\u00e4hd\u00e4\u00e4n olevan arvon yhteis-luonnin keski\u00f6ss\u00e4. Asiakkaan arvonluontiprosessin ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4minen auttaa luomaan asiakkaille paremmin sopivia palveluita sek\u00e4 saavuttamaan kilpailuetua. T\u00e4m\u00e4 pro gradu -tutkielma sis\u00e4lt\u00e4\u00e4 kirjallisuuskatsausosion sek\u00e4 empiiri-sen tutkimusosion. Tutkielman empiirinen osuus toteutettiin laadullisella tutkimusmenetelm\u00e4ll\u00e4 ja data ker\u00e4ttiin puolistrukturoiduilla haastatteluilla. Tutkimuksen kohteena toimi suomalaisen yliopiston kehitt\u00e4m\u00e4 digitaalinen palvelu ja siin\u00e4 toteutettava ty\u00f6nkulku. Tutkimuksessa haastateltiin sek\u00e4 palvelun kehitt\u00e4ji\u00e4 ett\u00e4 asiakkaita. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 pro gradu -tutkielmassa tutkittiin, miten asiakkaiden osallistuminen organisaation jatkuvaan digitaaliseen palveluinnovaatioon vaikuttaa arvon yhteisluontiin organisaation ja asiakkaan v\u00e4lill\u00e4. Tutkimustulosten perusteella voidaan sanoa, ett\u00e4 asiakkaiden osallistuminen jatku-van digitaalisen palveluinnovaation prosessiin vaikuttaa arvon yhteisluontiin ja auttaa luomaan positiivista arvoa. Tuloksista selvi\u00e4\u00e4 my\u00f6s, ett\u00e4 asiakkaiden osallistuminen innovaatioprosessiin voi johtaa joissakin tapauksissa arvon yhteistuhoamiseen. T\u00e4m\u00e4 tutkielma tuo lis\u00e4\u00e4 ymm\u00e4rryst\u00e4 asiakkaiden osallistumisesta organisaation jatkuvan innovaation prosessiin sek\u00e4 sen vaikutuksista arvon yhteisluontiin. Organizations should see customers as an active actor in innovation and value creation so that services that fit the customers\u2019 needs can be created. Creating services using methods of continuous digital service innovation can help organizations to include customers in the innovation process and create services that suit the customers\u2019 needs better. It is important to do research on this topic so that organizations gain more knowledge to support their decision making related to including customers in their innovation process. The research also helps organizations to avoid value co-destruction in the future. It is important to focus on customers when conducting research on this topic because customers are in the center of the value creation process. Understanding the value creation process of customers helps organizations to create services that fit the customers\u2019 needs better and gain competitive advantage. This Master\u2019s Thesis includes a literature review and an empirical study of the topic. The empirical part of the thesis was conducted using qualitative methods and the data was collected using individual semi-structured interviews. The subject of the research was a digital service created by a Finnish university and one workflow executed in it. Both developers and customer of the service were interviewed. In this Masters\u2019 Thesis it was studied how the participation of the customers in the organization\u2019s continuous digital service innovation affects the co-creation of value between the organization and customers. Based on the findings of the study it can be said that the participation of the customers in the organization\u2019s continuous digital service innovation affects the co-creation of value and helps to create positive value. It was also found that the participation of the customers can in some cases lead to value co-destruction. This study creates more knowledge about the participation of customers in organization\u2019s processes of continuous innovation and how it affects the co-creation of value. This study brings up factors that can lead to the creation of both positive and negative value.
