Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan tiedon v\u00e4littymisen ongelmia ja hyvi\u00e4 k\u00e4yt\u00e4nteit\u00e4 johtajan ja ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden v\u00e4lill\u00e4 sek\u00e4 tiedon v\u00e4littymisen arviointia. Tutkielma toteutettiin laadullisin menetelmin ja tutkimusaineisto ker\u00e4ttiin teemahaastattelulla ja k\u00e4siteltiin teemoittelemalla. Tutkimusta varten haastateltiin kuutta keskijohdon ja ylimm\u00e4n johdon edustajaa eri alojen tietointensiivisist\u00e4 organisaatioista.\nTutkimustuloksista nousee monenlaisia tiedon v\u00e4littymist\u00e4 hankaloittavia tekij\u00f6it\u00e4. Tulosten mukaan ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6ss\u00e4 on lis\u00e4ksi ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6ilt\u00e4 salattavaa tietoa, kuten ty\u00f6suhteisiin liittyv\u00e4 tieto, eiv\u00e4tk\u00e4 johtajat jaa ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6ille keskener\u00e4ist\u00e4 tietoa. Johtajat haluaisivat puolestaan saada ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6ilt\u00e4 avoimemmin arkaluontoista tietoa, esimerkiksi ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4n jaksamiseen tai tehtyihin virheisiin liittyen. Erityisesti kasvokkaistilanteet nousevat tuloksista hyvin\u00e4 tiedon v\u00e4littymisen k\u00e4yt\u00e4ntein\u00e4. N\u00e4m\u00e4 koetaan tehokkaimmiksi tiedon v\u00e4littymisen tilanteiksi. Kahdenkeskiset kasvokkaistilanteet sopivat lis\u00e4ksi monimutkaisen tai arkaluontoisen tiedon v\u00e4litt\u00e4miseen. Tuloksista nousee my\u00f6s erilaisia hyvi\u00e4 teknologiav\u00e4litteisi\u00e4 tiedon v\u00e4littymisen k\u00e4yt\u00e4nteit\u00e4.\nTuloksista selvi\u00e4\u00e4, ett\u00e4 haastateltujen johtajien ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6iss\u00e4 arvioidaan tiedon v\u00e4littymist\u00e4 systemaattisesti kyselyin tai arviointilomakkein ja antamalla palautetta spontaaneissa kohtaamisissa. Tuloksista selvi\u00e4\u00e4 kuitenkin, ett\u00e4 johtajat eiv\u00e4t hy\u00f6dy tarpeeksi tiedon v\u00e4littymisen arviointik\u00e4yt\u00e4nteist\u00e4. He eiv\u00e4t saa konkreettisia vastauksia siihen, millaista tietoa ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t haluavat saada enemm\u00e4n ja millaista tietoa ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t kokevat heilt\u00e4 salattavan.\nJohtajien mukaan ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden antamat arvioinnit tiedon v\u00e4littymisest\u00e4 ja viestinn\u00e4st\u00e4 ovat yleisesti heikkoja tai ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t ilmaisevat saavansa tietoa heikosti. T\u00e4m\u00e4 tukee yleist\u00e4 suuntaa siit\u00e4, etteiv\u00e4t ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t tunne saavansa tarpeeksi tietoa. Tulosten mukaan johtajat ovat kuitenkin itse enimm\u00e4kseen tyytyv\u00e4isi\u00e4 tiedon v\u00e4littymiseen ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden kanssa. Tutkimuksen tulokset vahvistavat siten aikaisempia tutkimustuloksia my\u00f6s siit\u00e4, ett\u00e4 johtajat kokevat tiedon v\u00e4littymisen ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6ss\u00e4 paremmaksi kuin ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t.
