Tämän leikkisän teknologian pelimekaniikat pohjautuvat sessionaikaiseen vapaaseen spontaaniin leikkiin minimoiden tavanomaisten kaupallisten pelien ihmiskeskeisen suunnittelun. Tutkimusartefakti suunniteltiin palautesilmukassa kahden kotikissan kanssa, joiden käyttäytymistä ja vuorovaikutusta havainnoitiin koko artefaktin kehityksen ajan. This study aims by multidisciplinary methods look at whether domestic cats experience the interaction with virtual game objects as a playful experience. For the study, an animal-oriented research artifact in the form of a digital video game was developed. The game mechanics of this playful technology are based on free spontaneous play, minimizing the human-centered design of conventional commercial games. The research artifact was designed in a feedback loop, by observing and taking into account the reactions of the two domestic cats who were interacting with the artifact throughout its development.
