RPA:n k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6nottoa pidet\u00e4\u00e4n tehokkaana ja sujuvana, ja se mahdollistaa organisaatioille nopeammat, tuottavammat ja virhevapaammat prosessit. T\u00e4m\u00e4n pro gradu -tutkielman tarkoituksena oli tutkia kriittisi\u00e4 menestystekij\u00f6it\u00e4 (CSFs) RPA:n implementointiprojekteissa suurissa organisaatioissa. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli laajentaa olemassa olevaa tiet\u00e4myst\u00e4 ohjelmistorobotiikasta, sen implementoinnista ja onnistuneeseen implementointiin johtavista tekij\u00f6ist\u00e4. Tutkimus koostui kahdesta osiosta: teoreettisesta ja empiirisest\u00e4 osiosta. Tutkimuksen empiirinen osio toteutettiin kvalitatiivisena tapaustutkimuksena ja tapausorganisaatio on suuri globaalisti toimiva vesiteknologiayritys. Teoreettisessa osiossa rakennettiin k\u00e4sitys RPA:n implementointiprojekteista ja niiden kriittisist\u00e4 menestystekij\u00f6ist\u00e4 toteutetun kirjallisuuskatsauksen perusteella. Empiirisess\u00e4 osiossa pyrittiin vahvistamaan ja laajentamaan aiemman tutkimuksen ymm\u00e4rryst\u00e4 kriittisist\u00e4 menestystekij\u00f6ist\u00e4 RPA:n implementointiprojekteissa suuren organisaation n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta. Tutkimuksen tulosten perusteella tunnistettiin kuusi kriittist\u00e4 menestystekij\u00e4\u00e4: projektinhallinta, oikeiden henkil\u00f6iden osallistaminen, projektin priorisointi, kommunikaatio, prosessien optimointi ja kypsyys, sek\u00e4 projektitiimin sitouttaminen. Tutkimuksen tulokset tukevat aiempaa tutkimusta ohjelmistorobotiikan implementointiprojekteista ja t\u00e4ydent\u00e4v\u00e4t tutkimustietoa ohjelmistorobotiikan implementointiprojektien kriittisist\u00e4 menestystekij\u00f6ist\u00e4. The implementation of RPA is considered efficient and accessible and it enables organizations to have faster, more productive and error- free processes. The purpose of this master\u2019s thesis was to study Critical Success Factors (CSFs) in RPA implementation projects in large organizations. The research aimed to expand the existing knowledge about Robotic Process Automation, its implementation and the factors that lead to a successful implementation. The research consisted of two parts: the theoretical part and the empirical part. The empirical part of the research was conducted as a qualitative case study and the case organization is a large globally operating water technology company. The theoretical part built an understanding of RPA implementation projects and their Critical Success Factors based on the literature review conducted. The empirical part sought to strengthen and expand understanding in the previous research of Critical Success Factors in RPA implementation projects from the perspective of a large organization. Based on the results of the research, six Critical Success Factors were identified: project management, involving right people, prioritizing the project, communication, process optimization and maturity and project team engagement. The results of the research support previous research on Robotic Process Automation implementation projects and supplement research information on the Critical Success Factors in Robotic Process Automation implementation projects.
