| Summary: | Tämä kandidaatintutkielma käsittelee elektroenkefalografiaa hyödyntävää neurofeedbackia, eli neuroterapiaa, ja sen tarjoamia mahdollisuuksia mielenterveyden häiriöiden hoidossa. Tutkielma on kirjoitettu kirjallisuuskatsauksena ja sen tarkoituksena on lisätä ymmärrystä EEG-neurofeedbackista hoitomuotona, sekä sen kehityksen kulusta vuosikymmenten varrella, erityisesti ADHD:n, masennuksen ja ahdistuneisuushäiriöiden hoidon saralla.
The subject of this bachelor’s thesis is EEG-neurofeedback, or neurotherapy, and
its possibilities in treatment of mental disorders. The thesis is written as a literature review, in an effort to increase knowledge of EEG-neurofeedback as a method of treatment, and of its course of development over the past decades. Developments in treatment of ADHD, depression and anxiety disorders are reviewed.
