Samaan aikaan sidosryhmien vaatimukset yritysten vastuullisuutta kohtaan kasvavat jatkuvasti. Toimitusketjun vastuullisuuden seurantaprosessi voi auttaa yrityksi\u00e4 luovimaan n\u00e4iden haasteiden v\u00e4liss\u00e4. T\u00e4m\u00e4 tutkimus toteutettiin kvalitatiivisena tapaustutkimuksena teollisuusyrityksess\u00e4. Tutkimuksen p\u00e4\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4 oli kartoittaa yrityksen k\u00e4yt\u00e4nn\u00f6t toimittajien seurantaan ja muodostaa niist\u00e4 toimitusketjun vastuullisuuden seurantaprosessi. Lis\u00e4ksi tutkimus pyrki selvitt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n yrityksen toimittajien n\u00e4kemyksi\u00e4 ja kokemuksia toimitusketjun vastuullisuuden seurannasta. P\u00e4\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4n\u00e4 oli l\u00f6yt\u00e4\u00e4 mahdollisuuksia kehitt\u00e4\u00e4 seurantaprosessia ja k\u00e4yt\u00e4nt\u00f6j\u00e4. Kirjallisuuskatsaus tehtiin kest\u00e4v\u00e4n toimitusketjun johtamista tutkivalle kirjallisuudelle. Kirjallisuudesta tutkimuksen kannalta t\u00e4rkeiksi nousivat l\u00e4hestymistapa, joka sis\u00e4lt\u00e4\u00e4 vastuullisuuden kaikki kolme osa-aluetta ja aidosti kest\u00e4v\u00e4n toimitusketjun k\u00e4site. Aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin puolistrukturoitujen haastattelujen avulla, joista kaksi tapausyrityksess\u00e4 ja viisi toimittajilla. Tulosten perusteella toimittajat suhtautuvat my\u00f6nteisesti seurantatoimiin. Toisaalta avoimuuden puute ja rajalliset resurssit n\u00e4htiin rajoituksina toimitusketjun seurannalle. At the same time, stakeholder demands towards corporate responsibility are continuously increasing. A monitoring process for supply chain sustainability can help companies to navigate between these challenges. This study was conducted as a qualitative case study in an industrial company. The objective of the study was to identify case company's supplier monitoring practices and to form a supply chain sustainability monitoring process. This study also aimed to explore suppliers' perceptions and experiences on supply chain monitoring practices. The final goal was to find opportunities to develop case company's monitoring process and practices. A literature review was conducted on sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) literature. In the literature, the triple bottom line approach and the concept of truly sustainable supply chains were essential for this study. The primary data was collected through semi-structured interviews, two of them in the case company and five in supplier companies. Results suggested that suppliers have a positive attitude towards monitoring practices. However, lack of transparency and limited resources were seen as limitations to supply chain monitoring.
