Suoriutumisuskomusten kehittymisen osalta sukupuolten v\u00e4lill\u00e4 ei n\u00e4ytt\u00e4isi\nolevan eroa, vaikkakin pojilla suoriutumisuskomukset ovat l\u00e4ht\u00f6kohtaisesti korkeammat. T\u00e4ss\u00e4\ntutkielmassa sukupuolten eroja ei vertailtu, vaan havaintoja tehtiin ainoastaan yl\u00e4koululaisten\npohjalta. Ty\u00f6ss\u00e4 havaittiin suoriutumisuskomusten ja arvostusten yhteys\nkoululiikuntamotivaatioon. Ty\u00f6 rakentuu Ecclesin ym. (1983) kehitt\u00e4m\u00e4n odotusarvoteorian\nsek\u00e4 Decin ja Ryanin (2000) kehitt\u00e4m\u00e4n itsem\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4\u00e4misteorian ymp\u00e4rille. Odotusarvoteoriassa\nyksil\u00f6n saavutukset ja saavutuksiin liittyv\u00e4t valinnat m\u00e4\u00e4rittyv\u00e4t kahden tekij\u00e4n kautta, joita\novat odotukset onnistumisesta ja subjektiiviset teht\u00e4v\u00e4n arvot. Itsem\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4\u00e4misteoriassa yksil\u00f6n\nmotivaation laatu m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4ytyy kolmen psykologisen perustarpeen, koetun autonomian, koetun\np\u00e4tevyyden ja sosiaalisen yhteenkuuluvuuden mukaan. Odotusarvoteoriassa mainitut\nsuoriutumisuskomukset ja arvostukset voivat olla yhteydess\u00e4 koululiikuntamotivaatioon. T\u00e4ss\u00e4\nty\u00f6ss\u00e4 suoriutumisuskomuksilla tarkoitetaan yl\u00e4koulun oppilaiden suoriutumisuskomuksia\nkoululiikunnassa ja arvostuksilla tarkoitetaan, pit\u00e4v\u00e4tk\u00f6 yl\u00e4koulun oppilaat koululiikuntaa\nhy\u00f6dyllisen\u00e4 ja t\u00e4rke\u00e4n\u00e4.\nPro gradu -tutkielman aineistona k\u00e4ytettiin nelj\u00e4st\u00e4 eri suomalaisesta peruskoulusta saatuja\nvastauksia, joilla pyrittiin selvitt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n yl\u00e4koululaisten suoriutumisuskomusten ja arvostusten\nyhteytt\u00e4 koululiikuntamotivaatioon. Aineiston koko oli yhteens\u00e4 212 vastausta ja sen\nkohderyhm\u00e4n\u00e4 toimivat yl\u00e4koulun oppilaat. Aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin joulukuussa 2021 sek\u00e4 tammihelmikuussa 2022.\nTutkimustulosten mukaan oppilaiden suoriutumisuskomukset olivat yhteydess\u00e4\nmotivaatioluokista tunnistetun s\u00e4\u00e4telyn ja sis\u00e4isen motivaation kanssa sek\u00e4 psykologisten\nperustarpeiden osalta autonomian ja koetun p\u00e4tevyyden kanssa, mutta ei sosiaalisen\nyhteenkuuluvuuden kanssa. Arvostukset, toisin sanoen koululiikunnan t\u00e4rkeys ja hy\u00f6dyllisyys,\noli yhteydess\u00e4 motivaatioluokista tunnistetun s\u00e4\u00e4telyn, sis\u00e4isen motivaation sek\u00e4 amotivaation\nkanssa. Oppilaiden koululiikuntaan liittyv\u00e4t suoriutumisuskomukset olivat siis sit\u00e4 paremmat,\nmit\u00e4 motivoituneempia he olivat koululiikuntaa kohtaan. Oppilaiden suoriutumisuskomukset\nolivat my\u00f6s paremmat, jos he saivat liikuntatunneilla autonomian sek\u00e4 p\u00e4tevyyden kokemuksia.\nLis\u00e4ksi oppilaat, jotka kokivat koululiikunnan t\u00e4rke\u00e4ksi ja hy\u00f6dylliseksi, olivat sis\u00e4isesti\nmotivoituneita koululiikuntaa kohtaan. Puolestaan oppilaat, jotka eiv\u00e4t kokeneet koululiikuntaa\nt\u00e4rke\u00e4ksi ja hy\u00f6dylliseksi, eiv\u00e4t olleet my\u00f6sk\u00e4\u00e4n motivoituneita koululiikuntaa kohtaan.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "Performance expectacions and the individual\u00b4s internal appreciation of physical education are\nimportant explanatory factors for performance and commitment to physical activity during\nexercise classes. According to studies students\u00b4 beliefs about their own ability decrease during\nthe transition from primary to upper secondary school, but school sports values remain largely\nunchanged. There are no gender differences in the development of performance beliefs,\nalthough boys seem to have higher performance beliefs. In this dissertation, gender differences\nwere not compared, but observations were made only on the basis of upper secondary school\nstudents. The connection between performance beliefs and values and school sports motivation\nwas observed in the work. The work is built around the expectation value theory developed by\nEccles (1983) and the theory of self-determination developed by Deci and Ryan (2000). In\nexpectation value theory, an individual\u2019s achievements and achievement-related choices are\ndetermined through two factors, which are expectations of success and subjective values of the\ntask. In the theory of self-determination, the quality of an individual\u2019s motivation is determined\nby three basic psychological needs, perceived autonomy, perceived competence, and social\ncohesion. The performance beliefs and valuations mentioned in expectation value theory may\nbe related to school sports motivation. In this work, performance beliefs refer to the\nperformance beliefs of upper secondary school students in school sports, and values refer to\nwhether upper secondary school students find school sports useful and important.\nThe material used in the master's thesis was the answers obtained from four different Finnish\nprimary schools, which sought to find out the connection between the performance beliefs and\nvalues of upper secondary school students and school sports motivation. The size of the material\nwas a total of 212 responses and its target group was upper secondary school students. The data\nwere collected in December 2021 and in January-February 2022.\nAccording to the research results, students' performance expectations were related to the\nregulation and intrinsic motivation identified in motivational classes and to autonomy and\nperceived competence in basic psychological needs, but not to social cohesion. Values, i.e., the\nimportance and usefulness of school exercise, were associated with regulation identified from\nmotivational classes, intrinsic motivation, and motivation. Thus, the more motivated they were\nabout school exercise, the better the students' performance expectations related to school\nexercise. Pupils\u2019 performance beliefs were also better if they gained experiences of autonomy\nas well as qualifications during exercise classes. In addition, students who found school exercise\nimportant and useful were internally motivated toward school exercise.
