Tutkielman tarkoituksena on tuottaa tietoa siit\u00e4, miten vallitseva megatrendi, digitalisaatio, vaikuttaa yritysten ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden ty\u00f6hyvinvointiin ja siten auttaa edist\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n ty\u00f6hyvinvointia. Tutkielma keskittyy tarkastelemaan vaikutuksia etenekin tietoty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6ill\u00e4. Digitalisaation n\u00e4hd\u00e4\u00e4n tarkoittavan teknologioiden laajentuvaa k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6nottoa niin, ett\u00e4 se johtaa muutoksiin yritys- ja yhteiskuntatasolla. Ty\u00f6hyvinvointi puolestaan tarkoittaa ty\u00f6tyytyv\u00e4isyyden, ty\u00f6n mielekkyyden, turvallisuuden ja hyvinvoinnin sosiaalisen, psyykkisen, fyysisen ja henkisen tason muodostamaa kokonaisuutta. Tutkielman tuottamaa tietoa voidaan k\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 hy\u00f6dyksi esimerkiksi tehdess\u00e4 teknologiahankintoja organisaatiolle minimoiden niiden negatiiviset vaikutukset teknologiaa k\u00e4ytt\u00e4vien loppuk\u00e4ytt\u00e4jien, ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden, ty\u00f6hyvinvoinnille. Tutkimuksen tulokset l\u00e4hteineen on k\u00e4sitelty ja esitetty p\u00e4\u00e4luvussa nelj\u00e4. Tutkimuksessa l\u00f6ydettiin digitalisaation voivan johtaa teknostressiin, ty\u00f6n intensiivistymiseen, ty\u00f6teht\u00e4vien automatisointiin ja ty\u00f6n joustavuuden lis\u00e4\u00e4ntymiseen, mitk\u00e4 puolestaan vaikuttavat ty\u00f6hyvinvointiin. Nelj\u00e4n k\u00e4sitellyn ilmi\u00f6n seuraukset ty\u00f6hyvinvoinnille ovat sek\u00e4 sit\u00e4 heikent\u00e4vi\u00e4 ett\u00e4 parantavia. Teknostressin l\u00f6ydettiin vaikuttavan heikent\u00e4v\u00e4sti ty\u00f6tyytyv\u00e4isyyteen, organisaatioon ja ty\u00f6teht\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4n sitoutumiseen, ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4n suoriutumiseen sek\u00e4 pahimmillaan johtavan ty\u00f6uupumukseen. Ty\u00f6n intensiivistyminen puolestaan lis\u00e4si ty\u00f6n kuormittavuutta ja ty\u00f6n nopeatempoisuutta, johtaen ty\u00f6hyvinvoinnin heikentymiseen. Ty\u00f6teht\u00e4vien automatisoinnin avulla voidaan jopa parantaa ty\u00f6tyytyv\u00e4isyytt\u00e4, mutta toisaalta v\u00e4hent\u00e4\u00e4 ty\u00f6n merkityksellisyytt\u00e4 ja aiheuttaa pelkoa ty\u00f6n menetyksest\u00e4. The purpose of the dissertation is to provide information about how current mega trend, digitalization, effects on businesses\u2019 employees\u2019 job well-being and thus help to contribute job well-being. This dissertation focuses exploring effects on information workers in particular. Digitalization is seen as increasing implementation of technologies so that it leads to changes on organizational and society levels. Job well-being, in turn, means the whole formed by job satisfaction, meaningfulness of work, safety and well-being\u2019s social, psychological, physical and mental levels. The knowledge provided by the dissertation can be used, for example, when making technology acquisitions for the organization but at the same time minimizing their negative effects on the end-users\u2019, employees\u2019, job-wellbeing. The results and references supporting findings are presented in chapter four. The dissertation found that digitalization can lead to technostress, work intensification, work\u2019s automation and increase work\u2019s flexibility and that these things have different effects on employees\u2019 job-wellbeing. Technostress was found to have a detrimental effect on job satisfaction, work and organizational engagement, employee\u2019s performance and at worst leading to job burnout. Work intensification, in turn, can increase workload and speed up the pace of work, leading to decline in job well-being. With work\u2019s automation we can even improve job satisfaction but on the other hand diminish meaningfulness of work and cause fear about losing one\u2019s job.
