Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, millaisia ravintok\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymisprofiileja yl\u00e4kouluik\u00e4isill\u00e4 suomalaisnuorilla esiintyy ja mitk\u00e4 yksil\u00f6n ja perheen taustatekij\u00e4t ovat yhteydess\u00e4 niihin. Nuorten ravintok\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymisen laaja-alainen tarkastelu ja sen edist\u00e4mismahdollisuuksien ja kohderyhmien selvitt\u00e4minen ovat ensiarvoisen t\u00e4rkeit\u00e4 terveyden edist\u00e4misen ja kansanterveyden n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta. \n\nTutkimuksen aineistona k\u00e4ytettiin WHO-Koululaistutkimuksen vuoden 2014 poikkileikkaustutkimuksen dataa, joka oli ker\u00e4tty 7.- ja 9.-luokkalaisilta suomalaisnuorilta (N=3853). Ravintok\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymisprofiilit muodostettiin viiden ruoka-aineen viikoittaisen saannin frekvenssin, koulup\u00e4ivien aamupalan ja perheen yhteisen ilta-aterian s\u00e4\u00e4nn\u00f6llisyyden sek\u00e4 p\u00e4ivitt\u00e4isen ateriam\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4n muuttujista. Tutkimuksen taustamuuttujina olivat sukupuoli, luokkataso, fyysinen aktiivisuus, terveyden lukutaito ja kehonkuva sek\u00e4 perheen varallisuus, vanhempien valvonta, perheen tuki ja perheen kotona ruokailun toimintatavat. Analyysit suoritettiin SPSS 28-ohjelmalla TwoStep -klusterianalyysin, ristiintaulukoinnin ja Khiin neli\u00f6 -testin sek\u00e4 Kruskal-Wallisin testin avulla. \n\nLopullisessa mallissa aineistosta muodostui seitsem\u00e4n ravintok\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymisprofiilia. Ravintok\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymisprofiileista oli erotettavissa \u00e4\u00e4rip\u00e4in\u00e4 sek\u00e4 ravitsemuksen ett\u00e4 sy\u00f6misk\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymisen kannalta suotuisat ja ep\u00e4suotuisat profiilit. N\u00e4iden \u00e4\u00e4rip\u00e4iden v\u00e4liin j\u00e4\u00e4viss\u00e4 ryhmiss\u00e4 korostui erityisesti sokeristen elintarvikkeiden runsaampi kulutus. Kaikki tutkimuksen kategoriset yksil\u00f6lliset tekij\u00e4t sek\u00e4 perhetekij\u00e4t olivat Khiin neli\u00f6 -testin mukaan tilastollisesti eritt\u00e4in merkitsev\u00e4sti (p<0,001) yhteydess\u00e4 profiiliin kuulumiseen. Cram\u00e9rin V-arvot osoittivat kuitenkin yhteyksien olevan voimakkuudeltaan heikkoja (<0,30). Profiilien v\u00e4lill\u00e4 havaittiin sek\u00e4 kehonkuvan ett\u00e4 perheen kotona ruokailua koskevien toimintatapojen vaihtelussa tilastollisesti eritt\u00e4in merkitsevi\u00e4 (p<0,001) eroja Kruskal-Wallisin testin p\u00e4\u00e4tuloksen mukaan. Tarkempien parivertailujen (Z-test ja Pairwise comparison) my\u00f6t\u00e4 havaittiin, ett\u00e4 yhteydet ja erot eiv\u00e4t olleet tilastollisesti merkitsevi\u00e4 kaikissa profiileissa. \n \nNuorilla esiintyy erilaisia ravintok\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymisprofiileja, joista on tunnistettavissa ravintok\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymiselt\u00e4\u00e4n suotuisammat ja ep\u00e4suotuisammat ryhm\u00e4t. Terveyden edist\u00e4misen sek\u00e4 terveyserojen kaventamisen n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta on olennaista kiinnitt\u00e4\u00e4 erityisesti huomiota ravintok\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymiselt\u00e4\u00e4n ep\u00e4suotuisimpien profiilien taustalla oleviin tekij\u00f6ihin eli matalaan terveyden lukutaitoon sek\u00e4 alhaiseen perheen tukeen ja vanhempien valvontaan. Lis\u00e4ksi kohderyhm\u00e4n\u00e4 on huomioitava erityisesti pojat. Interventioissa on kiinnitett\u00e4v\u00e4 huomiota my\u00f6s yl\u00e4kouluik\u00e4isten erilaisiin ravitsemuksen ja sy\u00f6misk\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymisen haasteisiin, kuten aterioiden ep\u00e4s\u00e4\u00e4nn\u00f6llisyyteen sek\u00e4 sokerin liialliseen saantiin. Jatkossa ravintok\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymisprofiilien tarkastelua olisi syyt\u00e4 toteuttaa my\u00f6s laaja-alaisemmin eri ik\u00e4ryhmill\u00e4 ja taustatekij\u00f6ill\u00e4 sek\u00e4 syvent\u00e4\u00e4 tiet\u00e4myst\u00e4 kvalitatiivisella tutkimuksella.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "Adolescents\u2019 dietary behaviour has been noticed to decrease with age regarding both nutrition and eating behaviour. The aim of the study was to examine what kinds of dietary behaviour profiles exist among 13- and 15-years-old adolescents and how individual and family background factors are associated with them. In terms of health promotion and public health, it is important to have comprehensive analysis about adolescents\u2019 dietary behaviour, essen-tial target groups and promotion possibilities.\n\nThe study was based on HBSC (Health Behaviour of School-aged Children) study results, which were collected from 13- and 15-years-old Finnish adolescents in 2014. Dietary behaviour profiles were comprised from the weekly consuming frequency of five different food items, the regularity of breakfast and family dinner and number of daily meals. In this study the background factors were sex, class level, physical activity, health literacy and body image, family affluence, parental monitoring, family support and family eating rules. The data was analysed with SPSS 28-software and the used methods were TwoStep cluster analysis, crosstabulation, chi-square -test and Kruskal-Wallis-test.\n\nIn the final model, there were seven dietary behaviour profiles. Two opposites, favourable and unfavourable dietary behaviour were identified based on the profiles\u2019 typical categories. Between these opposites, there were groups where sugary-beverage and sweets consumption were higher. Based on the chi-square- test all the categorical individual and family back-ground factors were statistically (p<0,001) associated with belonging to the profile. However, Cram\u00e9r\u2019s V- test showed that those connections were weak in power (<0,30). Between the profiles, there were statistical (p<0,001) differences in body image and family eating rules. Based on the results of Z-tests and pairwise comparisons, there were no statistically significant connections or differences in all profiles. \n\nIn adolescents, there occurs different dietary behaviour profiles which can be determined to groups of favourable and unfavourable dietary behaviour. In terms of health promotion and reducing health inequities, it is important to take into account the background factors of less favourable profiles: low health literacy, low family support and parental monitoring. In addition, boys should be considered as a target group. In interventions, it is necessary to consider different challenges of nutrition and eating behaviour such as irregular meal rhythm and high consumption of sugary products. In the future, dietary behaviour should be researched regarding various background factors and age-groups.
