Yksitt\u00e4isten segmenttien resultanttikiihtyvyyksi\u00e4 ja kulmanopeuksia ei ole kuitenkaan juurikaan tutkittu ei-v\u00e4sytt\u00e4v\u00e4n juoksun aikana. Segmenttien resultanttikulmanopeus ei v\u00e4ltt\u00e4m\u00e4tt\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4ydy juoksun aikana samalla tavalla nivelkulmadatan kanssa. Siksi se voi tarjota keinon huomata muutoksia juoksun kinematiikassa, vaikka mitattavaa v\u00e4symyst\u00e4 ei esiintyisi kuormituksen j\u00e4lkeen. Inertiamittausyksik\u00f6t (IMU) ovat laitteita, jotka sis\u00e4lt\u00e4v\u00e4t kiihtyvyysantureita, gyroskooppeja sek\u00e4 mahdollisesti my\u00f6s magnetometrin. IMUjen etu perinteisempiin tutkimusmenetelmiin n\u00e4hden on niiden pieni koko ja liikuteltavuus, mik\u00e4 mahdollistaa datan ker\u00e4\u00e4misen my\u00f6s laboratorio-olosuhteiden ulkopuolella. T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tarkoitus oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 miten IMUilla mitatun jalan ja lantion resultanttikulmanopeus sek\u00e4 resultanttikiihtyvyys muuttuvat ei-v\u00e4sytt\u00e4v\u00e4n 40 minuutin juoksun aikana. \nMenetelm\u00e4t. Tutkimukseen osallistui 10 tervett\u00e4 s\u00e4\u00e4nn\u00f6llisesti juoksua harrastavaa koehenkil\u00f6\u00e4. Koehenkil\u00f6t juoksivat sis\u00e4juoksuradalla 40 minuuttia kest\u00e4v\u00e4n kuormituksen itse valitsemallaan vauhdilla. Ennen juoksukuormitusta ja sen j\u00e4lkeen suoritettiin kolme esikevennyshyppy\u00e4. Esikevennyshyppyjen korkeuden muutoksia k\u00e4ytettiin koehenkil\u00f6iden v\u00e4symyksen tason arviointiin. Itse valitun vauhdin oli tarkoitus kuvastaa \u201dnormaalia\u201d harjoitusvauhtia. Tutkimuksessa analysoitiin IMUilla jalan ja lantion resultanttikulmanopeus sek\u00e4 resultanttikiihtyvyys koko askelsyklist\u00e4 5 minuutin, 20 minuutin sek\u00e4 38 minuutin kohdalla kuormituksesta. My\u00f6s koehenkil\u00f6iden juoksunopeutta seurattiin mahdollisten muutosten havaitsemiseksi. \nTulokset. Jalan ja lantion resultanttikulmanopeuksissa ei tapahtunut juoksun aikana merkitsevi\u00e4 muutoksia. My\u00f6sk\u00e4\u00e4n jalan resultanttikiihtyvyydess\u00e4 ei avaittu muutoksia. Lantion resultanttikulmanopeus laski hieman vasemman jalan kantaiskun aikana (p = 0,0103). Esikevennyshypyn korkeus oli ennen juoksua 29,2 cm \u00b1 4,9 cm ja juoksun j\u00e4lkeen 32,5 cm \u00b1 4,6 cm (p = 0,034). Juoksunopeudessa ei havaittu merkitsevi\u00e4 muutoksia.\nPohdinta ja johtop\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6kset. Juoksukuormituksen ei ollut tarkoitus aiheuttaa v\u00e4symyst\u00e4. T\u00e4m\u00e4 tavoite kuormitukselle todenn\u00e4k\u00f6isesti onnistui, sill\u00e4 esikevennyshyppyjen korkeus kasvoi merkitsev\u00e4sti laskemisen sijaan. T\u00e4m\u00e4 voisi selitt\u00e4\u00e4 my\u00f6s osaltaan merkitsevien muutoksien puutosta suurimmassa osassa muuttujista. Lantion resultanttikiihtyvyydess\u00e4 havaittu pieni lasku oli yll\u00e4tt\u00e4v\u00e4 tulos. Running is one of the most popular forms of exercise in the world. Changes in lower body joint angles and segmental accelerations have been studied reasonably comprehensively. However, hardly any studies have investigated resultant angular velocities and resultant accelerations of single segments during non-fatiguing running. Resultant angular velocity of single segments does not necessiraly reflect the same changes as joint angles. That is why it can provide methods to notice changes in running kinematics even if fatigue was not present with chosen methods to monitor fatigue. Inertial measurement units (IMU) are devices which contain accelerometers, gyroscopes and possibly a magnetometer. IMUs advantage to more traditional research methods is that they are small in size and ambulatory, which makes it possible to collect data outside of laboratory settings. The purpose of this study was to evaluate changes in foot and pelvis resultant angular velocity and resultant acceleration measured with IMUs during non-fatiguing 40-minute run.\nMethods. 10 healthy subjects who ran regularly participated the study. Subjects ran on an indoor track 40 minutes with a self-selected pace. Three countermovement jumps were performed before and after the running protocol to monitor possible changes in fatigue level. The self-selected pace was supposed to reflect \u201cnormal\u201d practice running speed. Resultant angular velocity and resultant acceleration of the foot and pelvis were analyzed for the whole stride from 5-minute, 20-minute and 38-minute time points during the running. The running speed of the subjects was also measured.\nResults. There were no changes in foot and hip resultant angular velocities. There were also no changes in foot resultant acceleration. Hip resultant acceleration decreased during left foot heel contact (p = 0,0103). Countermovement jump height was 29,2 cm \u00b1 4,9 cm before the run and 32,5 cm \u00b1 4,6 cm after the run (p = 0,034). There were no changes in running speed.\t\nDiscussion and conclusions. The running protocol was not supposed to cause any fatigue to the participants. This was also probably the case since the countermovment jump height increased after the runnin and there were no changes in running speed throughout the protocol. This could also explain the lack of changes in most of tha study variables. Small decrease in the hip resultant acceleration was a surprising result. this could in theory result from decrease in running speed but in this study there were no changes in running speed.
