Uutena tutkimusalueena on syntynyt sosiaalinen myynti, jossa yhdistyy sosiaalisen median hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4minen myynnin tarkoituksiin. Sosiaalisessa myynniss\u00e4 myyj\u00e4 hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 sosiaalisen median kanavia tiedon etsint\u00e4\u00e4n, verkostoitumiseen ja arvokkaan sis\u00e4ll\u00f6n jakamaiseen sidosryhmille. N\u00e4in sosiaalinen myynti tuo markkinoinnillisia elementtej\u00e4 myynnin ty\u00f6h\u00f6n mukaan. Kuitenkin todistetuista hy\u00f6dyist\u00e4 huolimatta sosiaalisen myynnin hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4minen on ollut yrityksiss\u00e4 vaimeaa. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena on ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4\u00e4 sosiaalisen myynnin k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n ottamisen est\u00e4vi\u00e4 tekij\u00f6it\u00e4 sek\u00e4 kuvata myyjien k\u00e4sityksi\u00e4 sen k\u00e4yt\u00f6st\u00e4. Tutkimus toteutettiin casetutkimuksena ja p\u00e4\u00e4tutkimusongelmana on, millaiset tekij\u00e4t est\u00e4v\u00e4t sosiaalisen myynnin k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6noton. Alatutkimusongelma pyrki selvitt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n myyjien k\u00e4sityksi\u00e4 sosiaalisen myynnin k\u00e4yt\u00f6st\u00e4. Tutkimuksen aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin teemahaastatteluilla, ja ty\u00f6t\u00e4 varten haastateltiin kahdeksaa myyntiedustajaa caseyrityksest\u00e4. Tuloksista huomataan, ett\u00e4 suurimpia est\u00e4vi\u00e4 tekij\u00f6it\u00e4 ovat organisaation puutteellinen tuki ja henkil\u00f6kohtaiset tekij\u00e4t. Myyj\u00e4t voivat pit\u00e4\u00e4 sosiaalista myynti\u00e4 eritt\u00e4in tarpeellisena sek\u00e4 sen hy\u00f6dyt tiedostetaan, mutta ilman organisaation mahdollistamaa tukea sit\u00e4 ei k\u00e4ytet\u00e4 pitk\u00e4n aikav\u00e4lin hy\u00f6tyjen tavoittelemiseen. Lyhyen aikav\u00e4lin hy\u00f6tyj\u00e4 tavoitellessa myyj\u00e4n oma n\u00e4kemys hy\u00f6dyllisyydest\u00e4 korostui enemm\u00e4n kuin muut vaikuttavat tekij\u00e4t.
