Ty\u00f6el\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n siirtymisen tiedet\u00e4\u00e4n olevan henkisesti kuormittava el\u00e4m\u00e4nvaihe ja noviisiopettajien ty\u00f6st\u00e4 poistuminen yleisint\u00e4 ensimm\u00e4isen viiden ty\u00f6vuoden aikana. Opettajan hyvinvoinnilla on yhteys ty\u00f6n laatuun, oppilaiden hyvinvointiin, kouluviihtyvyyteen ja oppimistuloksiin. T\u00e4m\u00e4n ty\u00f6n tarkoitus on selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, mitk\u00e4 tekij\u00e4t vastavalmistuneet liikunnanopettajat kokevat ty\u00f6ss\u00e4 kuormittaviksi ja voimavaroja tukeviksi. \n\nLaadullinen tutkimus toteutettiin haastatteluilla ja sis\u00e4lt\u00f6 analysoitiin aineistol\u00e4ht\u00f6isell\u00e4 sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysilla. Haastatteluihin valittiin nelj\u00e4 yl\u00e4koulussa ty\u00f6skentelev\u00e4\u00e4 noviisiliikunnanopettajaa. Noviisiopettajaksi m\u00e4\u00e4riteltiin enint\u00e4\u00e4n viisi vuotta valmistumisen j\u00e4lkeen liikunnanopettajana ty\u00f6skennellyt. Kirjallisuuskatsauksessa ja haastattelurungossa sovellettiin Rauramon (2004) Ty\u00f6hyvinvoinnin portaat -teoriaa ja Ty\u00f6terveyslaitoksen (2021) Ty\u00f6hyvinvointitalo-mallia. \n\nTulosten mukaan liikunnanopettajan ammatissa kuormitusta aiheuttavat tiukat aikataulut, opetuspaikkojen v\u00e4liset siirtym\u00e4t, tuntien aikainen melu ja h\u00e4lin\u00e4, puutteellinen v\u00e4lineist\u00f6, alituinen kasvatusty\u00f6 sek\u00e4 opetuksen ulkopuolinen ty\u00f6, joka vie resurssia ydinty\u00f6lt\u00e4. Lis\u00e4ksi uran alussa liikunnanopettajan kuormitusta lis\u00e4\u00e4v\u00e4t ty\u00f6m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4n paljous ja uusien k\u00e4yt\u00e4nteiden opettelu. Voimavaratekij\u00f6it\u00e4 liikunnanopettajan ty\u00f6ss\u00e4 ovat mukava ja rento ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6, el\u00e4v\u00e4iset ja liikuntamy\u00f6nteiset oppilaat, kohtuullisuus itselle ja ty\u00f6lle asetettujen tavoitteiden suhteen sek\u00e4 onnistumisen kokemusten tarjoaminen ja saavuttaminen. \n\nTy\u00f6hyvinvointiin liittyvien tekij\u00f6iden tunnistaminen ja avoin keskustelu avaavat mahdollisuuden ty\u00f6ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6jen kehitt\u00e4miseen. Liikunnanopettajan ty\u00f6nkuvaan ja kouluihin liittyv\u00e4t hyvinvointitekij\u00e4t tulisi ottaa huomioon uusien koulujen suunnittelussa, liikuntatilojen ja varastojen sijoittelussa ja ty\u00f6paikkojen k\u00e4yt\u00e4nteiden uudistamisessa. Noviisiopettajan ty\u00f6h\u00f6n sopeutumista voitaisiin edist\u00e4\u00e4 mentoroinnilla ja lis\u00e4\u00e4m\u00e4ll\u00e4 yhteisopettajuuden mahdollisuuksia sit\u00e4 kaipaaville. Opettajan itsetuntemus auttaa sellaisten toiminta- ja ajatusmallien tunnistamisessa, jotka tukevat ty\u00f6ss\u00e4 jaksamista. Peruskoulun teht\u00e4v\u00e4n kirkastaminen itselle voi auttaa ty\u00f6n syvemm\u00e4n merkityksen l\u00f6yt\u00e4misess\u00e4, mik\u00e4 tukee ty\u00f6motivaatiota ja sitouttaa kasvatusty\u00f6h\u00f6n. Noviisiopettajilla ty\u00f6t\u00e4 on suhteellisesti paljon, joten ty\u00f6n rajaamisen taidot, ajank\u00e4yt\u00f6n suunnittelu ja ajank\u00e4yt\u00f6n tehokkuus korostuvat ty\u00f6hyvinvointia tukevina tekij\u00f6in\u00e4. The transition to working life is known to be a mentally stressful stage in life and the departure of novice teachers during the first five years of employment is the most common. The purpose of this study is to find out what factors recent graduate physical education teachers find work-intensive and resource-intensive at work. \nQualitative research was conducted through interviews and content was analyzed using data-driven content analysis. Four novice physical education teachers working in upper comprehensive schools were selected for the interviews. A novice teacher was defined as a person who had worked as a physical education teacher for up to five years after graduation. In the literature review and in the body of the interview, Rauramo\u2019s (2004) Occupational Well-Being Stairs theory and the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health\u2019s (2021) Occupational Well-being model were applied.\nAccording to the results, the workload of the physical education teacher is caused by strict schedules, transitions between teaching places, noise and hustle during lessons, inadequate equipment, constant educational work, and work outside of teaching, which takes resources away from the core work. In addition, at the beginning of a career, the workload of a physical education teacher is increased by the amount of workload and the learning of new practices. Resource factors in the work of a physical education teacher include a comfortable and relaxed work community, lively and physically friendly students, reasonableness with the goals set for oneself and the work, and the provision and achieve of success experiences.\nThe identification of factors related to well-being at work and open discussion open up opportunities for the development of the work environments. Well-being factors related to the physical education teacher\u2019s job description and schools should be taken into account in the design of new schools, the location of sports facilities and stocks, and the renewal of workplace practices. Adaptation to the work of a novice teacher could be promoted through mentoring and increased opportunities for co-teaching for those who need it. Teacher self-awareness helps to identify patterns of action and thinking that support coping at work. Clarifying the role of primary school for oneself can help to find a deeper meaning for work, which supports work motivation and engages in educational work. Novice teachers have a relatively large amount of work, so the skills of delimiting work, planning the use of time and the efficiency of time use are emphasized as factors supporting well-being at work.
