Tässä tutkielmassa perehdytään, miten koneoppimista on sovellettu sydän- ja verisuonitautien hoidossa ja ennaltaehkäisyssä, sekä pohditaan kirjallisuuden perusteella optimaalista ajankohtaa koneoppimisen käytölle sairauden kulun ajalta. Tutkielmassa huomattiin, että koneoppimista käytetään sairauden eri vaiheissa hyvin kattavasti ja monipuolisesti, mutta yksikään vaiheista ei noussut toista merkittävämmäksi. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death worldwide, and its burden is particularly severe in countries with insufficient resources for primary health care. This dissertation examines how machine learning has been applied in the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease, and considers the optimal time for the use of machine learning during the course of the disease. The dissertation found that machine learning is used very comprehensively and in various ways in different stages of the disease, but none of the stages became more significant than the other.
