Tutkielmassa tarkastellaan mobiilimaksujen omaksumiseen ja k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n vaikuttavia tekij\u00f6it\u00e4 ja syit\u00e4 mobiilimaksujen k\u00e4yt\u00f6n taustalla naisten keskuudessa. Tutkielma rakentuu kirjallisuuskatsauksesta ja empiirisest\u00e4 osiosta. Kirjallisuuskatsauksessa esitell\u00e4\u00e4n informaatioteknologian omaksumisen keskeisi\u00e4 teorioita, joita on hy\u00f6dynnetty mobiilimaksamisen omaksumisen tutkimuksessa. Lis\u00e4ksi kirjallisuuskatsauksessa k\u00e4sitell\u00e4\u00e4n sukupuolen vaikutusta teorioissa nimettyihin informaatioteknologian omaksumisen tekij\u00f6ihin. N\u00e4iden tekij\u00f6iden vaikutusta tarkastellaan my\u00f6s mobiilimaksamiseen. Empiirist\u00e4 osiota varten toteutettiin tutkimus, joka toteutettiin puolistrukturoituina teemahaastatteluina kymmenelle 21\u201331-vuotiaalle Suomessa asuvalle naiselle. Teemat rakennettiin mobiilimaksujen omaksumiseen vaikuttavien tekij\u00f6iden pohjalta, joita on nimetty kirjallisuuskatsauksessa. Haastatteluissa kartoitettiin miten ja miksi n\u00e4m\u00e4 tekij\u00e4t vaikuttavat naisten halukkuuteen omaksua mobiilimaksut maksuv\u00e4lineeksi. Tutkimuksen tulokset tukivat aiemmassa tietoj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4tieteen tutkimuskirjallisuudessa esiteltyj\u00e4 tuloksia siit\u00e4, mitk\u00e4 tekij\u00e4t vaikuttavat naisten halukkuuteen omaksua ja k\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 mobiilimaksuja. Mobiilimaksujen tehokkuus ja hy\u00f6dyllisyys, sosiaaliset tekij\u00e4t, koettu turvallisuus sek\u00e4 tottumus informaatioteknologian k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n vaikuttavat omaksumishalukkuuteen. Mobiilimaksuja voi suorittaa nopeasti ajasta ja paikasta riippumatta. Siksi mobiilimaksut ovat tehokas ja hy\u00f6dyllinen maksutapa. Muiden k\u00e4ytt\u00e4jien positiiviset kokemukset mobiilimaksuista motivoi ottamaan ne k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n. Sovelluksen tai teknologian suosio muiden keskuudessa vahvistaa k\u00e4sityst\u00e4 niiden hy\u00f6dyllisyydest\u00e4. N\u00e4in sosiaaliset tekij\u00e4t vaikuttavat mobiilimaksujen omaksumishalukkuuteen. Ep\u00e4luotettavuus v\u00e4hent\u00e4\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00f6halukkuutta. Suurimmat huolenaiheet liittyv\u00e4t taloudellisiin menetyksiin ja henkil\u00f6kohtaisten tietojen v\u00e4\u00e4rink\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n. Aiempi informaatioteknologian k\u00e4ytt\u00f6 helpottaa uusien sovellusten ja teknologioiden omaksumista. N\u00e4in ollen tottumus vaikuttaa omaksumisprosessiin. Mobiilimaksut miellet\u00e4\u00e4n helppok\u00e4ytt\u00f6isiksi ja siit\u00e4 syyst\u00e4 koettu helppok\u00e4ytt\u00f6isyys tai tuen saatavuus k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4 eiv\u00e4t ole merkitt\u00e4vi\u00e4 tekij\u00f6it\u00e4 mobiilimaksujen omaksumisessa. The thesis examines the factors influencing acceptance and use of mobile payments and reasons behind using them among women. The study consists of a literature review and an empirical study. The literature review presents some of theories of information technology acceptance that have been utilized for the study of mobile payments. In addition, the literature review discusses the effects of gender on factors influencing technology acceptance and use of information technology. The impact of these factors on mobile payments is also considered. The empirical study was conducted in the form of semi-structured thematic interviews. Ten women between aged 21-31 living in Finland were interviewed. The themes are based on the factors influencing acceptance of mobile payments. These factors are named in the literature review. The interviews explored how and why these factors affect women\u2019s willingness to accept mobile payments. The results of the study supported previous information systems science research results on what factors influence to accept and use of mobile payments among women. Performance and usefulness of mobile payments, social influence, perceived security, and habit of using information technology influence willingness to adoption. Mobile payments are efficient and useful method to pay because mobile payments can made quickly regardless of time and place. Positive experiences of other users about mobile payments motivate to accept them. Popularity of an application or technology among others reinforces their usefulness. Therefore, social influence affects willingness to adopt mobile payments. Unreliability reduces willingness to use an application or technology. The biggest concerns are financial loses and misusing of personal information. Previous use of information technology facilitates that is why habit affects the acceptance process. Mobile payments are easy to use. Therefore, perceived ease of use or facilitating conditions are not significant factors when adopting mobile payments.
