Kielellinen moninaisuus on osa suomalaista yhteiskuntaa. Perusopetus on velvoitettu tekem\u00e4\u00e4n toimenpiteit\u00e4, joilla monikieliset oppilaat saavuttavat tarvittavan suomen kielen taidon ja voivat tulla toimeen \nsuomalaisessa yhteiskunnassa. Tutkimuksessa kartoitamme niit\u00e4 pedagogisia opetusmenetelmi\u00e4, joita opettajat k\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4t opetuksessaan, jotta monikielisen oppilaan \nsuomen kielen oppiminen olisi mahdollisimman suotuisaa. \nKyseess\u00e4 on laadullinen tutkimus, jonka otos on viisi etel\u00e4suomalaista alakoulun opettajaa (N1-N5). Aineistonkeruumenetelm\u00e4n\u00e4 on puolistrukturoitu teemahaastattelu ja aineiston analyysimenetelm\u00e4n\u00e4 fenomenografinen tutkimus, jossa k\u00e4sitykset muodostuvat empiirisest\u00e4 haastatteluaineistosta. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa k\u00e4sityksi\u00e4 ovat opettajien kuvaamat pedagogiset opetusmenetelm\u00e4t, jotka muodostavat \nkahdeksan merkitysryhm\u00e4\u00e4. Ne luokitellaan nelj\u00e4ksi kuvauskategoriaksi, jotka ovat \nt\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tulokset. Kuvauskategoriat ovat visuaaliset opetusmenetelm\u00e4t, \ntoiminnalliset opetusmenetelm\u00e4t, oppimisymp\u00e4rist\u00f6t opetusmenetelmin\u00e4 ja oppimisen tuki opetusmenetelm\u00e4n\u00e4.\nTutkimustuloksena luodut nelj\u00e4 kuvauskategoriaa kuvaavat niit\u00e4 opetusmenetelmi\u00e4 ja v\u00e4lineit\u00e4, joita opettajalla on k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4\u00e4n, kun h\u00e4n tarjoaa monikieliselle \noppilaalle mahdollisuuksia suomen kielen oppimiseen. Kuvauskategorioiden opetusmenetelm\u00e4t ovat yhteydess\u00e4 toisiinsa. Kaikkia opetusmenetelmi\u00e4 ei ole tarkoituksenmukaista k\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 opetuksessa yht\u00e4 aikaa, vaan opettaja m\u00e4\u00e4rittelee niiden \nk\u00e4yt\u00f6n oppilaan kielellisten taitojen ja tarpeiden pohjalta.
