Videov\u00e4litteiseen \nhoitoon liittyy eettist\u00e4 pohdintaa eik\u00e4 sill\u00e4 voida korvata kokonaan fyysisi\u00e4 kotik\u00e4yntej\u00e4. \nKansainv\u00e4lisiss\u00e4 tutkimuksissa painotetaan asiakkaan tarpeesta l\u00e4htev\u00e4\u00e4 teknologian \nk\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6nottoa sek\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4jien osallistamista palveluiden suunnitteluun. Et\u00e4hoiva on \ntutkimusilmi\u00f6n\u00e4 viel\u00e4 tuore, joten sen hy\u00f6tyjen ja haittojen tunnistaminen vaatii lis\u00e4tutkimusta. \nT\u00e4m\u00e4n pro gradu -tutkielman tavoitteena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 kotihoidon asiakkaiden et\u00e4hoivaan \nliittyvi\u00e4 vuorovaikutuskokemuksia ja merkityskokonaisuuksia.\nTutkimusasetelmana oli laadullinen haastattelututkimus. Tutkimusaineisto ker\u00e4ttiin\nmaaliskuussa 2021 haastattelemalla yksil\u00f6haastatteluna kuutta (n=6) kotihoidon asiakasta, \njoilla oli et\u00e4hoivan p\u00e4ivitt\u00e4iset yhteydenotot tablettitietokoneen kautta. Haastateltavista nelj\u00e4 \n(n=4) oli naisia ja kaksi (n=2) miehi\u00e4 ja he olivat i\u00e4lt\u00e4\u00e4n 72 - 89 vuotiaita. Aineiston analysointi \ntoteutettiin tulkitsevalla fenomenologisella IPA-menetelm\u00e4ll\u00e4 (Interpretative \nPhenomenological Analysis), joka kuuluu fenomenologis-hermeneuttisen tutkimusk\u00e4sityksen \nalle. Tutkimuksen tuloksena asiakkaiden vuorovaikutuskokemuksista muodostui kolme \nyhten\u00e4ist\u00e4 yl\u00e4teemaa. 1) Ohjauksellinen vuorovaikutus sis\u00e4lsi vointiin painottuvaa \nteht\u00e4v\u00e4keskeist\u00e4 vuorovaikutusta, joka toisaalta vahvisti my\u00f6s koettua itsen\u00e4ist\u00e4 p\u00e4rj\u00e4\u00e4mist\u00e4. \n2) Dialogista vuorovaikutusta ilmensiv\u00e4t kokemukset vastavuoroisen keskusteluyhteyden \nsyntymisest\u00e4, avoimesta ja rehellisest\u00e4 itsens\u00e4 ilmaisusta sek\u00e4 keskusteluseuran saamisesta. 3) \nKokemukset keskusteluun vaikuttavista tekij\u00f6ist\u00e4 sis\u00e4lsiv\u00e4t tyytyv\u00e4isyyden soittoihin osana \narkea, keskusteluosapuolten persoonan merkityksen sek\u00e4 soittojen keston lyhyyden.\nHaastateltavien kokemukset et\u00e4hoivasta n\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytyiv\u00e4t p\u00e4\u00e4osin positiivisena.\nT\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen johtop\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6ksen\u00e4 voidaan todeta, ett\u00e4 et\u00e4hoivan soitoilla on mahdollista \nsaavuttaa luottamuksellinen vuorovaikutussuhde. Tutkimuksesta saaduilla tuloksilla voidaan \nedist\u00e4\u00e4 et\u00e4hoivapalvelun kehitt\u00e4mist\u00e4 asiakasl\u00e4ht\u00f6isemp\u00e4\u00e4n suuntaan. Tutkimuksessa ker\u00e4ttyj\u00e4 \nyksil\u00f6llisi\u00e4 kokemuksia ja niist\u00e4 tehtyj\u00e4 tulkintoja voidaan hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 esimerkiksi et\u00e4hoivan \nsoittojen keston ja sis\u00e4ll\u00f6n suunnittelussa tai arvioinnissa. Tutkimuksella on yhteiskunnallista \nmerkitt\u00e4vyytt\u00e4, sill\u00e4 teknologiaa suositetaan lis\u00e4\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n valtakunnallisesti ik\u00e4\u00e4ntyneiden \npalveluiden kehitt\u00e4misess\u00e4. Jatkotutkimuksena tarvitaan m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4llist\u00e4 tutkimusta et\u00e4hoivan \nvaikuttavuuden osoittamiseen.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "Due to the aging of the population the number of clients in home care services is increasing. \nThe growing need for services can be coped with technological solutions like virtual home \ncare. Virtual home care cannot replace physical face-to-face contacts, and there are lots of \nethical issues to be considered. International studies emphasize the importance of technology \nthat is based on client\u2019s needs and their active involvement in technology development. Since \nvirtual care as a phenomenon is new, there is a need for further research in order to recognize \nthe benefits and disadvantages of virtual home care. The purpose of this Master\u2019s thesis was to \ninvestigate the experiences about interaction among older clients of home care with telecare \nservices.\nThe study design of this Master\u2019s thesis was qualitative and research data was collected in \nMarch 2021 by interviewing the virtual home care clients (n=6), who had daily contacts via \ntablet computer. Of the study participants, four (n=4) were women and two (n=2) were men \naged between 72 - 89 years. The analysis method used in this study was Interpretative \nPhenomenological Analysis. As a result, three common themes were found:\n1) Guidance-based interaction included one-way communication from nurse to client to \naccomplish certain tasks. A sense of self management was an important aspect of this theme.\n2) Dialogical interaction consisted of mutual, open conversations with special kind of mental \nconnection. Participants found it important to have ordinary casual conversational moments in \nbetween care tasks. They also appreciated honest self-expression.\n3) Experiences about factors that impact conversation included contentment toward video calls \nas a part of everyday routines, meaning of personality of conversation participants and sense of \nshort-term nature of video calls. According to this study the experiences about virtual home \ncare were mainly positive.\nThis study concluded that it is possible to create a reliable interaction relationship via virtual \nhome care video calls. The results of this Master\u2019s thesis can be utilized for developing and \nevaluating virtual home care so that it takes into account users\u2019 needs more than before. This \nstudy demonstrates what kind of content and duration is recommended when designing the \nvideo calls for elderly clients.
