Tutkimuksessa oltiin kiinnostuneita my\u00f6s, mill\u00e4 \ntavoilla tutkimukseen osallistuneiden vanhempien lasten kouluissa et\u00e4opetus oli \nj\u00e4rjestetty.\nTutkimus toteutettiin haastattelemalla yhdeks\u00e4\u00e4 vanhempaa maaliskuussa \n2021. Aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin lumipallo-otantaa hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4en. Haastattelumenetelm\u00e4ksi \nvalikoitui puolistrukturoitu teemahaastattelu. Aineisto analysoitiin aineistol\u00e4ht\u00f6isen sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysin avulla, jossa aineisto ryhmiteltiin ja yhdisteltiin luokiksi.\nVanhempien kertoman mukaan lasten kouluilla oli erilaisia k\u00e4yt\u00e4nt\u00f6j\u00e4 et\u00e4opetuksen j\u00e4rjest\u00e4miseksi. Vanhemmat osallistuivat aktiivisesti et\u00e4opetuksen sujumiseen suunnittelemalla ajank\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00e4, osallistumalla opettamiseen ja tukemalla \nlapsen tunteiden s\u00e4\u00e4tely\u00e4, toiminnanohjausta sek\u00e4 oppimista.\nTutkimuksessa l\u00f6ytyi monia vanhempia kuormittavia tekij\u00f6it\u00e4, mutta my\u00f6s \njaksamista tukevia tekij\u00f6it\u00e4. Suurimpina kuormittavuutta lis\u00e4\u00e4v\u00e4n\u00e4 tekij\u00e4n\u00e4 oli\nteht\u00e4vien ja vastuiden kasaantuminen. Vanhempien t\u00e4ytyi huolehtia arjen py\u00f6ritt\u00e4misest\u00e4, omista t\u00f6ist\u00e4 ja lapsen et\u00e4opetuksesta. Vanhempien jaksamista heikensiv\u00e4t my\u00f6s ep\u00e4tietoisuus tilanteen kehittymisest\u00e4 ja jatkumisesta. Et\u00e4opetusjakso oli vanhempien mukaan psyykkisesti kuormittavaa ja stressaavaa.\nVanhempien jaksamista tukevia tekij\u00f6it\u00e4 olivat oma positiivinen asennoituminen tilanteeseen, ymp\u00e4r\u00f6iv\u00e4t olosuhteet, saatu tuki ja kokemus omasta osaamisesta. My\u00f6s lapsen onnistumisten n\u00e4keminen auttoi jaksamaan. Vanhemmat \npitiv\u00e4t t\u00e4rke\u00e4n\u00e4, ett\u00e4 kaikki olivat samassa tilanteessa ja my\u00f6s ty\u00f6paikoilla suhtauduttiin suopeasti.\nT\u00e4m\u00e4 tutkimus osoitti, ett\u00e4 et\u00e4opetus koettiin jaksamista heikent\u00e4v\u00e4ksi.\nVanhemmat kuitenkin kokivat, ett\u00e4 olivat selviytyneet kev\u00e4\u00e4st\u00e4 kaikesta huolimatta", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "This study examined the experiences of parents in grades 1-2 in distance learning \nabout participation and coping during covid-19 pandemics. The study also \nlooked at the ways in which distance learning was organized in different schools.\nThe study was conducted by interviewing nine parents in March \n2021. The data were collected using a snowball sampling. The semi-structured \nthematic interview was chosen as the interview method. The data were analyzed \nusing databased content analysis, in which the data were grouped and combined \ninto categories.\nDistance learning was organized in many different ways. Different \nschools had different practices. Most families received instructions electronically \nfrom the school. Parents actively participated in distance learning by planning \nthe use of time, participating in teaching and supporting the child's emotion regulation, activity guidance and learning.\nThe study found many stressors, but also factors that support parents coping. The biggest factor increasing parents\u00b4 workload was the accumulation of things to be handled. Parents have to take care of everyday life, their own \nwork and the child's distance learning. The coping was also weakened by uncertainty about the development and continuation of the situation. According to the \nparents, the distance learning period was mentally stressful.\nFactors supporting coping included one's own attitude, the surrounding conditions, the support received and the experience of one's own competence. Seeing the child\u2019s successes also helped to cope. The parents considered \nit important that everyone was in the same situation and that they were also welcomed in the workplace. This study shows that distance learning has contributed \nto parental coping.
