Ty\u00f6motivaation on koettu olevan korkeimmillaan, kun ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4 tuntee saavansa ty\u00f6skennell\u00e4 vapaasti, kokee osaavansa ty\u00f6ns\u00e4, saa tukea ty\u00f6n tekemiseen ja tuntee viihtyv\u00e4ns\u00e4 ty\u00f6porukassa. \n\nT\u00e4m\u00e4 pro gradu -tutkielman tarkoituksena oli kuvata t\u00e4htiseuraohjelmaan kuuluvien urheiluseurojen ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden n\u00e4kemyksi\u00e4 johtamisen vaikutuksista heid\u00e4n ty\u00f6motivaatioonsa. T\u00e4htimerkin saaneet t\u00e4htiseurat toimivat vastuullisesti, niiss\u00e4 kuunnellaan ja kannustetaan osallistujia, reagoidaan ymp\u00e4rill\u00e4 oleviin muutoksiin, toimitaan modernisti ja vaikutetaan toimintaymp\u00e4rist\u00f6ihin. Tutkimusaineisto ker\u00e4ttiin kev\u00e4\u00e4n ja kes\u00e4n 2021 aikana teemahaastatteluina ryhm\u00e4haastatteluiden (n=3) muodossa. Tutkimukseen osallistui kahdeksan (n=8) t\u00e4htiseurojen ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4\u00e4. Aineisto analysoitiin teoriaohjaavan aineistol\u00e4ht\u00f6isen sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysin menetelm\u00e4ll\u00e4. \n\nT\u00e4htiseurojen johto tarjosi ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6illeen melko vapaan ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6n ty\u00f6skennell\u00e4 ja avoimelle keskustelulle annettiin mahdollisuus. Ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6ille tarjottiin ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6 kehittymiseen ja kouluttautumiseen, mutta usein ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden piti niit\u00e4 itse osata vaatia. Ty\u00f6teht\u00e4vi\u00e4 ei johdon puolesta juurikaan perusteltu, mutta ty\u00f6teht\u00e4v\u00e4t koettiin siit\u00e4 huolimatta melko selkein\u00e4. Ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6ille t\u00e4rkeiden arvojen koettiin p\u00e4\u00e4osin toteutuvan luottamuksen ja ty\u00f6n merkityksellisyyden kautta. Ty\u00f6h\u00f6n oltiin sitoutuneita ja ty\u00f6n itsess\u00e4\u00e4n koettiin synnytt\u00e4v\u00e4n ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iss\u00e4 innostuneisuutta. Ty\u00f6paikan ilmapiiri koettiin p\u00e4\u00e4osin hyv\u00e4n\u00e4 ja muiden ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden kanssa tultiin toimeen. Urheilu ja lasten kanssa toimiminen yhdistiv\u00e4t ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6it\u00e4 ja loivat ty\u00f6lle merkityksen.\n\nAutonomian tunnetta pystytt\u00e4isin vahvistamaan ty\u00f6n merkityksellisyyden, innostavuuden ja tasa-arvoisuuden lis\u00e4\u00e4misell\u00e4. Ty\u00f6teht\u00e4vien perustelemisella, teht\u00e4vien selkeydell\u00e4 ja johdon tuella pystytt\u00e4isiin lis\u00e4\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden kyvykkyytens\u00e4 tunnetta eli osaamisen tasoa ty\u00f6ss\u00e4. These factors give rise to work motivation and are often described in terms of autonomy, competence and relatedness. All of the above factors have been found to have an effect on work motivation. Work motivation is perceived to be at its highest when an employee feels free to work, feels skilled in the job, receives support to do the job and feels comfortable in the workforce.\n\nThe purpose of this master's thesis was to describe the views of employees of sports clubs in the Star club program on the effects of leadership on their work motivation. Star clubs that have been awarded a star sign operate responsibly, listen to and encourage participants, react to changes around them, operate in a modern way and influence their operating environments. The research material was collected during the spring and summer of 2021 in the form of thematic interviews in the form of group interviews (n = 3). Eight (n = 8) employees of Star clubs participated in the study. The material was analyzed using the method of theory-based material-based content analysis.\n\nThe management of the Star clubs provided their employees with a fairly free environment to work and an opportunity for open discussion. Employees were provided with an environment for development and retraining, but often employees had to be able to demand them them-selves. There was little justification for the tasks on behalf of the management, but the tasks were nevertheless felt to be quite clear. Values important to employees were felt mainly through trust and the relevance of the work. There was commitment to the work and the work itself was felt to create enthusiasm in the employees. The atmosphere in the workplace was generally felt to be good and people got along with other employees. Sports and working with children brought employees together and created meaning for the work.\n\nIt would be possible to strengthen the sense of autonomy by increasing the relevance, inspiration and equality of work. The justification of work tasks, the clarity of tasks and the support of management would be able to increase the employees' sense of competence, i.e. the level of knowledge at work.
