T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 yhteistoiminnallisen, eli pienryhm\u00e4ss\u00e4 yhteisty\u00f6n\u00e4 tapahtuvan, ongelmanratkaisun mallia fysiikan peruskurssin opiskelijoiden ongelmanratkaisuprosessin kuvailuun ja analysointiin. Tutkimuskysymyksiksi valittiin: (1) Voiko OECD:n vuoden 2015 PISA-tutkimusta varten kehitt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4 yhteistoiminnallisen ongelmanratkaisun viitekehyst\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 ryhm\u00e4teht\u00e4vien tekemisen kuvailuun? (2) Miten ryhmien ongelmanratkaisuprosessit vertautuvat kurssilla opetettuun ongelmanratkaisustrategiaan? T\u00e4t\u00e4 tutkimusta voidaan hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 jatkossa opetuksen kehitt\u00e4misess\u00e4, koska tutkimuksesta saatava tieto n\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 suuntaa sille, onko esimerkiksi ongelmanratkaisustrategian eksplisiittiselle harjoittelulle sijaa kurssilla. Aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n yliopiston fysiikan laitoksen vuoden 2020 syksyll\u00e4 j\u00e4rjestetyll\u00e4 peruskurssilla \u201dMekaniikan perusteet\u201d. Aineisto koostui kahdesta videosta, joilla kurssille osallistuneet opiskelijat ratkoivat pienryhm\u00e4ss\u00e4 teht\u00e4vi\u00e4. Videoilla kaksi eri ryhm\u00e4\u00e4 tekiv\u00e4t osittain samat teht\u00e4v\u00e4t. Aineisto analysoitiin teorial\u00e4ht\u00f6isell\u00e4 sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysill\u00e4. Tutkimus osoitti, ett\u00e4 OECD:n luoma malli soveltuu my\u00f6s korkeakoulun fysiikan kurssilla ryhmien toiminnan analysointiin. Tutkimuksen perusteella opiskelijat eiv\u00e4t seuraa kurssilla opetettua ongelmanratkaisustrategiaa. Aineistosta voidaan p\u00e4\u00e4tell\u00e4, ett\u00e4 t\u00e4m\u00e4n ongelmanratkaisustrategian k\u00e4ytt\u00e4misest\u00e4 saattaa olla hy\u00f6ty\u00e4. The purpose of this study was to utilize a collaborative\nproblem-solving framework to describe the problem solving process of students on\nan introductory physics course. Research questions were: (1) Can the OECD PISA\n2015 collaborative problem solving framework be used to describe problem solving\nprocesses of groups? (2) How do the problem solving processes of the groups compare\nto the problem solving strategy that is taught on the course? This research can be\nused in the future to improve teaching, because the information gathered could be\nuseful, for example, in deciding if more explicit teaching of problem-solving strategies\nshould be implemented.\nThe data were collected on a first course of introductory physics at the Department\nof Physics of the University of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4. The data were two videos on which students\nparticipating on the course did group assignments. On the videos two groups did\npartially the same assignments. The data were analyzed using theory directed content\nanalysis.\nThe research shows that the framework created by OECD can also be used to\nanalyse physics students\u2019 collaborative problem solving. According to this research\nthe students\u2019 do not systematically follow the problem-solving strategy that can\nbe found in the course materials. It can be concluded that the students could\nbenefit from using the aforementioned strategy.
