N\u00e4m\u00e4 poikkeusolot vaikuttivat my\u00f6s Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n yliopiston\ntoimintaan ja englannin opettajaopiskelijoihin, jotka joutuivat suorittamaan keskener\u00e4isen opetusharjoittelunsa\nloppuun et\u00e4opetuksen v\u00e4lityksell\u00e4. T\u00e4m\u00e4 haastoi opettajaopiskelijoiden jo luotuja k\u00e4sityksi\u00e4\nomasta opettajuudesta ja min\u00e4pystyvyydest\u00e4 sek\u00e4 edellytti uusien opetusmetodien omaksumista.\nPro gradu -tutkielmani tavoitteena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, mitk\u00e4 min\u00e4pystyvyyden l\u00e4hteet ovat englannin opettajaopiskelijoille\nmerkitt\u00e4vimpi\u00e4 opetusharjoittelun aikana. Tavoitteena oli my\u00f6s tutkia opettajaopiskelijoiden\nk\u00e4sityksi\u00e4 et\u00e4opetuksesta ja sen koettuja vaikutuksia heid\u00e4n min\u00e4pystyvyytens\u00e4. Tutkimus toteutettiin\npuolistrukturoituna teemahaastatteluna, ja haastattelut analysoitiin laadullista sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysia k\u00e4ytt\u00e4en.\nHaastattelut toteutettiin marras-joulukuussa 2020, ja tutkimukseen osallistui kahdeksan Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n \nyliopistossa opetusharjoittelunsa maalis-huhtikuussa 2020 suorittanutta englannin opettajaopiskelijaa. \nTutkimuksen tulokset osoittivat, ett\u00e4 osallistujille merkitt\u00e4viss\u00e4 min\u00e4pystyvyyden l\u00e4hteiss\u00e4 oli hajontaa, \nmutta keskisimpin\u00e4 esiin nousivat vuorovaikutus ohjaavien opettajien kanssa ja heilt\u00e4 saatu tuki, opiskelijatovereiden\nopettamien tuntien observointi ja niist\u00e4 voimaantuminen sek\u00e4 henkil\u00f6kohtaiset onnistumisen\nja ep\u00e4onnistumisen kokemukset opettaessa. Tutkimustuloksista k\u00e4vi my\u00f6s ilmi, ett\u00e4 k\u00e4sitykset et\u00e4opetuksesta\nolivat jakautuneita. Negatiiviss\u00e4vytteiset k\u00e4sitykset liittyiv\u00e4t vuorovaikutuksen puutteellisuuteen,\nteknologisiin vaikeuksiin, ja lis\u00e4\u00e4ntyneeseen ajank\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n tunteja suunnitellessa. Positiiviset k\u00e4sitykset\npuolestaan liittyiv\u00e4t p\u00e4\u00e4osin ohjaavien opettajien aiempaa ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4v\u00e4isemp\u00e4\u00e4n vuorovaikutustyyliin\nsek\u00e4 osallistujien aiempaa matalampiin henkil\u00f6kohtaisiin odotuksiin.
