Opiskelijoille stressi\u00e4 voivat aiheuttaa erilaisten opintoihin liittyvien asioiden lis\u00e4ksi el\u00e4m\u00e4nvaiheeseen liittyv\u00e4t muutokset. Liiallisella stressill\u00e4 voi olla laajoja negatiivisia vaikutuksia hyvinvoinnille. Opiskelijat haluavat tukea stressinhallintaan. Apua stressinhallintaan voidaan tarjota erilaisilla ohjelmilla.\n\nT\u00e4m\u00e4n Pro Gradu-tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n yliopiston HYVY-Akateeminen opiskelukyky- kurssille vuosina 2019-2020 osallistuneiden opiskelijoiden n\u00e4kemyksi\u00e4 kurssista liittyen stressiin ja stressinhallintaan. HYVY-kurssi on Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n yliopiston toteuttama hyvinvointia ja akateemista opiskelukyky\u00e4 tukeva kurssi. Tutkimusaineistona k\u00e4ytettiin kurssille osallistuneiden opiskelijoiden kirjoittamia reflektoiva lopputeht\u00e4vi\u00e4, jotka olivat osa kurssin suorittamista. Tutkittavat (N=40) olivat suorittaneet kurssin lukuvuoden 2019-2020 aikana. Aineiston analysointi toteutettiin laadullisella sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysimenetelm\u00e4ll\u00e4.\n\nTutkimuksen tulosten perusteella HYVY-kurssi n\u00e4htiin mahdollisuutena oppia erilaisia keinoja, joilla vaikuttaa kokemaansa stressiin. Olennaiseksi koettiin stressi\u00e4 aiheuttavien ajattelutapojen ja arjen toimintatapojen tunnistaminen ja kehitt\u00e4minen. Yleisesti kurssin koettiin tarjoavan hy\u00f6dyllist\u00e4 tietoja ja vinkkej\u00e4. Ryhm\u00e4keskustelujen ja itsen\u00e4isten teht\u00e4vien avulla sai uusia n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmia, p\u00e4\u00e4si syventym\u00e4\u00e4n aiheisiin ja oppi itsest\u00e4\u00e4n.\n\nOpiskelijoiden stressille on erilaisia syit\u00e4. Niihin on mahdollista vaikuttaa tarjoamalla opiskelijoille monipuolisesti erilaisia keinoja. Tutkimuksen tuloksia voidaan hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 laajalti stressinhallintaa ja hyvinvointia edist\u00e4vien ohjelmien suunnittelussa ja toteutuksessa. The causes of stress can be related to studies or changes that are typical in the stage of life. Excessive stress can be harmful for one\u2019s well-being. Students hope for support in stress management skills. It is possible to support the students with different programs.\n\nThe aim of this thesis was to investigate the views of the HYVY course among the students of University of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 who had participated to the course during the academic year 2019-2020.The aim was to investigate the views related to stress and stress management. HYVY-course is a wellbeing and study ability course provided by University of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4. The data consisted of reflective final assignments written by students as part of the course participation. The participants (N=40) had taken the course during the academic year 2019-2020. The data was analyzed with the qualitative content analysis method.\n\nThe results suggest that students could learn different means to affect their perceived stress. Recognizing and developing the stress-causing mindset and ways of acting were considered important. In general the course provided useful information and tips. Group discussions and independent assignments enabled students to gain new perspectives, depend the information and learn more about themselves. \n\nThere are different causes of stress among university students. It is possible to impact these causes by providing various tools in different ways. The results of this study can be used widely in planning and implementing stress-management and wellbeing programs.
