Tutkielma toteutetaan kuvailevana kirjallisuuskatsauksena monialaisesti tieteellisest\u00e4 kirjallisuudesta. Kirjallisuuskatsauksen aineiston\nker\u00e4\u00e4misess\u00e4 hy\u00f6dynnet\u00e4\u00e4n tieteellisi\u00e4 aikakausilehti\u00e4, konferenssijulkaisuja\nsek\u00e4 elektronisista kirjastoista l\u00f6ytyvi\u00e4 artikkeleita. Tutkielman tavoitteena on\nselvitt\u00e4\u00e4 vastaus kahteen tutkimuskysymykseen: \u201dMit\u00e4 antropomorfiset piirteet\ntarkoittavat tietoj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4tieteiss\u00e4?\u201d ja \u201dMiten antropomorfisten piirteiden\nk\u00e4ytt\u00f6 teknologiassa vaikuttaa k\u00e4ytt\u00e4jiin?\u201d Tutkielman tarkoituksena on koota\naikaisemmin hajallaan ollutta tietoa yhteen. Tutkielmassa perehdyt\u00e4\u00e4n antropomorfisten piirteiden k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n, niist\u00e4 tehtyyn tutkimuksiin sek\u00e4 nostetaan esille\naihetta koskevia keskeisi\u00e4 ajatuksia ja keskusteluja. Olemassa olevan kirjallisuuden pohjalta tunnistetaan erilaisia antropomorfisia piirteit\u00e4, niiden vaikutuksia,\nniihin liittyvi\u00e4 teorioita, luokitteluja sek\u00e4 mittaustapoja. Tutkielman johtop\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6ksen\u00e4 antropomorfisten piirteiden todetaan olevan visuaalisia, auditiivisia ja mentaalisia ihmisest\u00e4 muistuttavia piirteit\u00e4. Piirteit\u00e4 voidaan tietoisesti lis\u00e4t\u00e4 erilaisiin teknologioihin kuten keskusteluagentteihin sek\u00e4 erilaisiin robotteihin. Tutkielmassa todetaan, ett\u00e4 antropomorfisia piirteit\u00e4 k\u00e4ytet\u00e4\u00e4n tarkoituksellisesti\npaljon markkinoinnissa, antropomorfismin selkeiden vaikutuksien takia. Kirjallisuuden perusteella voidaan todeta, ett\u00e4 antropomorfisten piirteiden k\u00e4ytt\u00f6 terveydenhuollon sektorilla ja koulutuksessa on kasvamassa. Antropomorfisten\npiirteiden vaikutusten kannalta kirjallisuuteen tutustuminen osoittaa, ett\u00e4 antropomorfisten piirteiden k\u00e4yt\u00f6ll\u00e4 on laajasti erilaisia vaikutuksia ihmiseen, ja\nvaikka suurin osa vaikutuksista on positiivisia, joukossa on my\u00f6s negatiivisia\npiirteit\u00e4. The thesis is carried out as a\ndescriptive literature review of a multidisciplinary scientific literature. Scientific\njournals, conference proceedings and articles from electronic libraries will be\nused to collect the literature review data. The aim of the thesis is to answer two\nresearch questions: \"What do anthropomorphic features mean in information\nsystems science?\" and \"How does the use of anthropomorphic features in\ntechnology affect users?\" The aim of the thesis is to bring together previously\nscattered information. The thesis explores the use of anthropomorphic features,\nresearch on them, and highlights key ideas and debates on the topic. Drawing\non existing literature, it identifies different anthropomorphic traits, their effects,\nrelated theories, classifications, and measurement methods. The thesis\nconcludes that anthropomorphic traits are visual, auditory, and mental humanlike traits. These features can be consciously added to various technologies such\nas conversational agents and robots. The thesis concludes that anthropomorphic\nfeatures are intentionally used to a large extent in marketing, because of the\nclear implications of anthropomorphism. The literature suggests that the use of\nanthropomorphic traits in the healthcare sector and in education is growing.
