The starting point of this work is Arnold Sch\u00f6nberg's twelve-tone system as opposed to tonal music. This thesis reflects on what music is and which factors in music are the ones that make music pleasant or enjoyable. This work also describes the connection between brain activity and the emotions generated by music.\nUsing the twelve-tone system, Sch\u00f6nberg had to develop new complimentary methods that could replace the compositional techniques of traditional music based on tonality and tonal relationships. New methods developed by Sch\u00f6nberg for balance and imbalance in music included \"static,\" \"repetitive,\" and \"symmetrical\" on the one hand and \"dynamic,\" \"nonrepetitive,\" and \"asymmetric\" on the other. Sch\u00f6nberg\u2019s way of understanding tonality as artificial suggests that tonality is not the only way to organize musical discourse.\nThe work reviewed the following areas and concepts of music research: homeostasis, parametric system, coherence and comprehensibility, music form, music logic, music time, dynamic psychology, music semiotics, music neurophysiology and psychophysics. The motifs, thematic materials, and form of the music are constructed from the basic elements present in the music, such as structures, scale, melody, chord flow, tonal relationships, harmony, and rhythm. These evoke emotions, tensions and their release processes in the human body.\nIn addition, I deal with music from the perspectives of brain research and auditory perception, and consider the connection between hearing sounds and emotions.
