Ne voivat vaikuttaa oppimiseen joko positiivisesti tai negatiivisesti. Kielen oppimiseen liittyv\u00e4\u00e4 ahdistusta on tutkittu jo vuosikymmenten ajan. Kieliahdistus m\u00e4\u00e4ritel-l\u00e4\u00e4n tilannesidonnaiseksi ahdistukseksi, jota esiintyy yleens\u00e4 erilaisissa kielenk\u00e4ytt\u00f6- ja oppimistilanteissa. \nSuurin osa aiemmin tehdyist\u00e4 tutkimuksista liittyv\u00e4t luokkahuoneessa koettuun kieliahdistukseen, mutta on t\u00e4rke\u00e4\u00e4 huomioida my\u00f6s et\u00e4opetuksen n\u00e4k\u00f6kulma, erityisesti nyt kun COVID-19 pandemian aikana suurin osa opetuksesta siirtyi et\u00e4opetukseen. Et\u00e4opetusta jatketaan osittain varmasti my\u00f6s pandemian j\u00e4lkeenkin, jonka vuoksi kieliahdistusta tulisi tutkia enemm\u00e4n my\u00f6s t\u00e4st\u00e4 n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta.\n\nT\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkielmassa tutkittiin yliopiston englannin opiskelijoiden kokemuksia kieliahdistuksesta englannin kielen et\u00e4tunneilla. Tutkimus toteutettiin kyselylomakkeella, johon vastasi 45 anonyymia opiskelijaa. Kyseess\u00e4 on sek\u00e4 laadullinen ett\u00e4 m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4llinen tutkimus, jossa tutkitaan osallistujien yksil\u00f6llisi\u00e4 kokemuksia, syy- ja seuraussuhteita, sek\u00e4 m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4llisi\u00e4 tuloksia. Tutkimuksessa otetaan huomioon osallistujien kokemuksia my\u00f6s luokkahuoneessa, jotta voidaan vertailla niit\u00e4 et\u00e4tuntien kanssa. Tavoitteena on selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, ett\u00e4 kokevatko englannin kielen opiskelijat ahdistusta englannin kielen et\u00e4tunneilla, onko ahdistuksen m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4 muuttunut et\u00e4opetukseen siirrytt\u00e4ess\u00e4, miksi ahdistusta koetaan ja mitk\u00e4 tekij\u00e4t vaikuttavat ahdistuksen m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4\u00e4n.\n\nTuloksista selvi\u00e4\u00e4, ett\u00e4 kieliahdistusta esiintyy my\u00f6s englannin kielen yliopisto-opiskelijoilla. Yleisimm\u00e4t ahdistavat tilanteet liittyv\u00e4t \u00e4\u00e4neen puhumiseen, kuten esitelmien ja puheiden pit\u00e4miseen muiden edess\u00e4. My\u00f6s ne opiskelijat, jotka eiv\u00e4t yleens\u00e4 koe ahdistusta, voivat n\u00e4iss\u00e4 tilanteissa sit\u00e4 kokea. Ep\u00e4onnistumisen ja kielteisen arvioinnin pelko ovat suurin syy ahdistukselle. Pel\u00e4t\u00e4\u00e4n, ett\u00e4 sanotaan jotain v\u00e4\u00e4rin tai ei \u00e4\u00e4nnet\u00e4 sanoja oikein.
