Tavoitteenamme oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 millaisia n\u00e4iden kolmen ulottuvuuden yhdistelmi\u00e4, eli ERI-mallin profiileja mediaty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden keskuudessa on tunnistettavissa, ja kuinka n\u00e4m\u00e4 profiilit eroavat toisistaan seuraavien ty\u00f6hyvinvointimuuttujien suhteen: osaamisvaatimuksiin liittyv\u00e4 affektiivinen hyvinvointi, ty\u00f6n imu ja ty\u00f6n merkityksellisyys. Tutkimus perustuu e-kyselyaineistoon, joka on osa Media Work 2030 -tutkimushanketta. Aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin syksyll\u00e4 2019 suomalaisilta mediaty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6ilt\u00e4 (n = 979, naisia 67,9 %), jotka kuuluvat Suomen Journalistiliittoon. Osallistujien keski-ik\u00e4 oli 47,6 vuotta. Havaitsimme K-keskiarvon klusterianalyysin avulla mediaty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden keskuudessa esiintyv\u00e4n viisi erilaista ERI-mallin profiilia: \u2018tasapainoinen ERI-profiili\u2019 (24,8 %), \u2018suotuisa ERI-profiili\u2019 (13,6 %), \u2018ep\u00e4suotuisa ERI-profiili\u2019 (18,2 %), \u2018suorittaja ERI-profiili\u2019 (21,2 %) sek\u00e4 \u2019passiivinen ERI-profiili\u2019 (22 %). N\u00e4ihin profiileihin kuuluvat mediaty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t erosivat toisistaan siten, ett\u00e4 osaamisvaatimuksiin liittyv\u00e4\u00e4 positiivista affektiivisuutta kokivat eniten \u2018suotuisaan ERI-profiiliin\u2019 ja v\u00e4hiten \u2018ep\u00e4suotuisaan ERI-profiiliin\u2019 kuuluvat ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t. Osaamisvaatimuksiin liittyv\u00e4\u00e4 negatiivista affektiivisuutta kokivat puolestaan eniten \u2018ep\u00e4suotuisaan ERI-profiiliin\u2019 ja v\u00e4hiten \u2018suotuisaan ERI-profiiliin\u2019 kuuluvat ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t. Ty\u00f6n imua kokivat eniten \u2018suotuisaan ERI-profiiliin\u2019 sek\u00e4 \u2018tasapainoiseen ERI-profiiliin\u2019 ja v\u00e4hiten \u2018ep\u00e4suotuisaan ERI-profiiliin\u2019 kuuluvat ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t. Ty\u00f6n merkityksellisyytt\u00e4 kokivat eniten \u2018suotuisaan ERI-profiiliin\u2019 sek\u00e4 \u2018tasapainoiseen ERI-profiiliin\u2019 ja v\u00e4hiten \u2018ep\u00e4suotuisaan ERI-profiiliin\u2019 sek\u00e4 \u2018passiiviseen ERI-profiiliin\u2019 kuuluvat mediaty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t. \t\t\t\t\tYhteenvetona voidaan todeta, ett\u00e4 profiileissa, joissa mediaty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t kokivat suotuisampaa ponnistelujen ja palkkioiden v\u00e4list\u00e4 suhdetta sek\u00e4 v\u00e4hemp\u00e4\u00e4 ylisitoutumista, my\u00f6s ty\u00f6nhyvinvointi koettiin paremmaksi. Tulos on yhtenev\u00e4inen aiemman ERI-tutkimuksen kanssa. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa kaikista ERI-muuttujista palkkioiden taso vaikutti ty\u00f6hyvinvointiin voimakkaimmin. Havainto osin tukee aiemman ERI-tutkimuksen tuloksia. My\u00f6s t\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa havaitut viisi profiilia ovat osin yhtenev\u00e4iset aiemman henkil\u00f6suuntautuneen ERI-tutkimuksen kanssa. Profiilien sis\u00e4ll\u00f6iss\u00e4 oli kuitenkin my\u00f6s eroavaisuuksia verrattuna aiempaan tutkimukseen; etenkin t\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa l\u00f6ydetty \u2018suorittaja ERI-profiili\u2019 oli vailla suoraa vastinetta aiemmassa henkil\u00f6suuntautuneessa ERI-tutkimuksessa. The model consists of three core dimensions: effort at work, reward for work and overcommitment to work. Our aim was to investigate what kind of combinations of these three dimensions, i.e. ERI profiles can be identified among media workers, and how these profiles differ in experiences of occupational well-being. Occupational well-being was measured using three variables; affective well-being related to competence requirements, work engagement and meaningfulness of work. The study was part of MediaWork 2030 -research project. Using an online survey, the data was collected in the autumn of 2019 from Finnish media workers (n = 979, 67.9% women) who were members of the Union of Journalists in Finland. The average age of the participants was 47.6 years. Using the K-means cluster analysis, we found five different profiles of the ERI-model among media workers: \u2018balanced ERI profile\u2019 (24.8 %), \u2018favorable ERI profile\u2019 (13.6 %), \u2018unfavorable ERI profile\u2019 (18.2 %), \u2018performer ERI profile\u2019 (21.2 %) and \u2018passive ERI profile\u2019 (22 %). The media workers in these profiles differed in their experiences of occupational well-being, in the way that the positive affectivity related to competence requirements was experienced most by employees in the \u2018favorable ERI profile\u2019 and least in the \u2018unfavorable ERI profile\u2019. Negative affectivity related to competence requirements, on the other hand, was experienced most by employees in the \u2018unfavorable ERI profile\u2019 and least in the \u2018favorable ERI profile\u2019. Work engagement was experienced most by employees in the \u2018favorable ERI profile\u2019 and the \u2018balanced ERI profile\u2019 and least in the \u2018unfavorable ERI profile\u2019. Meaningfulness of work was experienced most by employees in the \u2018favorable ERI profile\u2019 and the \u2018balanced ERI profile\u2019, and least in the \u2018unfavorable ERI profile\u2019 and the \u2018passive ERI profile\u2019. \t\t\tIn conclusion, in profiles where media workers experienced a more favorable ratio between effort and reward, as well as less over-commitment, occupational well-being was also perceived to be better. This result is consistent with previous research of the ERI-model. In this study the level of reward had the strongest effect on occupational well-being of all the ERI-dimensions. The finding partly supports the results of previous ERI research. The five profiles observed in this study are also partially consistent with the existing ERI research utilizing a person-oriented approach. However, there were also differences in the content of the profiles compared to existing research. In particular, the \u2018performer ERI profile\u2019 found in this study had no equivalent in previous person-oriented ERI research. Thus, this study deepened the existing knowledge of media workers occupational well-being.
