Tavoitteena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 mit\u00e4 opetustyylej\u00e4 valmentajat k\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4t ja mitk\u00e4 tekij\u00e4t vaikuttavat harjoitteisiin valittujen opetustyylien k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n. Tutkimuksen aineisto koostui kuudesta 14\u201317-vuotiaiden poikien tai tytt\u00f6jen joukkueharjoituksesta, joissa havainnoitiin laadullisin menetelmin nelj\u00e4n eri valmentajan ja heid\u00e4n apuvalmentajiensa toimintaa. Lis\u00e4ksi syit\u00e4 tyylien k\u00e4yt\u00f6lle selvitettiin valmentajille harjoitusten j\u00e4lkeen tehtyjen puolistrukturoitujen haastattelujen avulla. Sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysi toteutettiin aineistol\u00e4ht\u00f6isesti sek\u00e4 teoriaohjaavasti, jolloin teoreettisena pohjana toimi Mosstonin ja Ashworthin (2008) opetustyylien jaottelu ja siit\u00e4 johdettu Palloliiton (2021a) jalkapallovalmentajan opetustyylien jaottelu.\nTutkimustulokset osoittavat, ett\u00e4 valmentajat k\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4t opetustyylej\u00e4 varsin laajasti. Niin sanottujen opettajajohtoisten ja oppijakeskeisten tyylien k\u00e4ytt\u00f6 oli varsin tasaista, mutta oppijakeskeisi\u00e4 tyylej\u00e4 k\u00e4ytettiin harjoituksissa ajallisesti hieman enemm\u00e4n. Opettajajohtoisista tyyleist\u00e4 ilmeni eniten komentotyyli\u00e4 ja teht\u00e4v\u00e4opetusta, kun taas oppijakeskeisist\u00e4 tyyleist\u00e4 k\u00e4ytettiin eniten ongelmanratkaisua, erilaisten ratkaisujen tuottamista ja yhteistoiminnallista oppimista. Tyylien k\u00e4ytt\u00f6 jakautui vahvasti siten, ett\u00e4 lajiharjoitteissa k\u00e4ytettiin usein oppijakeskeisi\u00e4 tyylej\u00e4 ja fyysisiss\u00e4 harjoitteissa opettajajohtoisia menetelmi\u00e4. Valmentajat k\u00e4yttiv\u00e4t my\u00f6s yhdistelmi\u00e4 eri tyyleist\u00e4 ja niiden palautteenannosta. Syin\u00e4 opetustyylien k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n olivat esimerkiksi valmentajien tottumukset, pelaajien ajatusprosessin kehitt\u00e4minen, peleihin valmistautuminen ja pelaajien suorituskyvyn kehitt\u00e4minen pelinomaisessa muuttuvassa ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6ss\u00e4.\nJohtop\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6ksen\u00e4 valmentajien voidaan n\u00e4hd\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4n erilaisia opetustyylej\u00e4 nuorten jalkapalloharjoituksissa, jolloin he my\u00f6s huomioivat erilaiset oppimis\u00e4rsykkeet. Tyylien k\u00e4ytt\u00f6 jakautui erilaisten harjoitteiden ja harjoitteiden tavoitteiden mukaan, mutta my\u00f6s valmentajan tyypillisen valmennustyylin ja harjoitustapahtumaan k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4 olevan valmentajien m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4n mukaan. Jatkotutkimusaiheena voisi selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 miten tyylien k\u00e4ytt\u00f6 vaihtelee talven harjoituskaudelta kes\u00e4n pelikaudelle, tai miten tyylit eroavat tytt\u00f6jen ja poikien joukkueiden tai eri palloilulajien v\u00e4lill\u00e4.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "The purpose of this thesis has been to examine the different teaching styles that football coaches employ in youth training. The objective was to find out what teaching styles coaches tend to use, and which factors affect the use of teaching styles that coaches have chosen. Research material consisted of six football trainings of 14 to 17 years old boys or girls, where four different coaches and their assistant coaches were observed by qualitative methods. In addition, semi-structured interviews were arranged with the coaches after the trainings to determine the underlying reasons for using specific teaching styles. Content analysis was performed by data-driven and theory-driven method, in which theoretical basis consisted of Mosston & Ashworth (2008) teaching styles along with Finnish FA\u00b4s (2021a) teaching styles of football coach.\nThe research results show that coaches use teaching styles rather widely. The usage of so-called teacher-led styles and learner-centered styles was divided quite evenly but slightly more amount of time was allocated to learner-centered styles. The most used teacher-led styles were command and practise style whereas the most used learner-centered styles were convergent discovery, divergent discovery, and collaborative learning. Application of different styles was divided strongly, in a way that football-specific exercises were mostly directed with learner-centered styles, while physical exercises were directed with teacher-led methods. Coaches also used combinations of these styles and their feedback. The reasons for application of specific styles were found out to be for example coach\u00b4s personal habits, development of thinking process of the players, preparation for games and enhancing the performance of the players in changing environment. \nIn conclusion, it can be noticed that coaches use different teaching methods in youth football trainings when, they also pay attention to different learning stimuli.
