Kohderyhm\u00e4n\u00e4 toimi liikuntatieteellisen tiedekunnan 17 viikon mittaiseen tutkimusprojektiin \u201dTaitoharjoittelutauon vaikutus k\u00e4sinseisontataidon pysyvyyteen\u201d osallistuneet henkil\u00f6t. Tutkimuksestani hy\u00f6tyv\u00e4t video-opetuksesta ja taitoharjoittelusta kiinnostuneet. Aiempia tutkimuksia k\u00e4sinseisontataidon harjoittelusta follow along-videotallenteiden pohjalta ei ole viel\u00e4 tehty. \nTutkimukseni otteena toimi fenomenologis-hermeneuttinen viitekehys ja tutkimus toteutettiin laadullisia menetelmi\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4en. Aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin kolmella kyselyll\u00e4 sek\u00e4 puolistrukturoidulla teemahaastattelulla. Yhteens\u00e4 tutkimukseen osallistuneita oli kahdeksan. Kaikki interventioon osallistuneet olivat t\u00e4ysi-ik\u00e4isi\u00e4. Nelj\u00e4 osallistujaa vastasi kyselyihin ja osallistui haastatteluun. Nelj\u00e4 muuta tutkimukseen osallistunutta henkil\u00f6\u00e4 vastasi vain kyselyihin. Aineisto analysoitiin aineistol\u00e4ht\u00f6isen sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysin menetelmill\u00e4. Aineistosta nousi kaksi selke\u00e4\u00e4 teemaa: Follow along videotallenteiden k\u00e4yt\u00f6n edut ja haitat k\u00e4sinseisonnan harjoittelun yhteydess\u00e4. Teemat jakautuivat viel\u00e4 pienempiin alaluokkiin kuten palautteen saamiseen ohjaajalta ja harjoitteluturvallisuuteen.\nTuloksista ilmenee, ett\u00e4 follow along videotallenteiden k\u00e4ytt\u00f6 soveltui erinomaisesti k\u00e4sinseisontataidon opetuksessa hy\u00f6dynnett\u00e4v\u00e4ksi menetelm\u00e4ksi. Menetelm\u00e4n suurimmat edut liittyiv\u00e4t sen tarjoamaan autonomiaan harjoittelun ajoittamisessa sek\u00e4 rytmityksess\u00e4. Itsevarmuus harjoitella k\u00e4sinseisontataitoa yksin kehittyi etenkin v\u00e4hemm\u00e4n k\u00e4sinseisontaa aiemmin harjoitelleilla osallistujilla. Menetelm\u00e4n heikkouksiksi voidaan lukea v\u00e4h\u00e4inen mahdollisuus saada palautetta ohjaajalta. Videotallenteiden k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00e4 motoristen taitojen harjoittamiseen harkitsevan opettajan on oltava motorisen oppimisen teoriasta perill\u00e4.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "The purpose of this thesis was to find out what kind of experiences learners have of participating in handstand lessons based on follow along video recordings. The target group consisted of Department of Sports 17-week long intervention study\u2019s \u201cSkill practice intermission\u2019s effect on handstand skill\u201d participants. All participants were over 18-years old and had varying backgrounds in handstand training. Study benefits all who are interested in the uses of follow along video recordings as a motor skill teaching tool and those who are creating follow along videos for varying audiences. This study was first of its kind.\nQualitive methods were used to gather and analyze the study\u2019s data. Research approach was a phenomenological-hermeneutic framework. In this thesis, it meant finding out the individual experiences of the participants about practing handstand with follow along videos as a primary teaching tool. Data for this study was collected using three surveys consisting of open-ended questions and via half structured thematic interviews. All eight adult participants answered to all surveys. Four participants also participated in the interviews. All the data was analyzed using data-driven content analysis. Two main themes rose from the analysis: The benefits and detriments of using follow along videos as a handstand teaching method. These two themes were split to smaller categories such as receiving feedback and the improvement of self-confidence.\nThe results show that follow along videos worked extremely well as a handstand teaching method. The greatest advantages this method were connected to the huge amounts of autonomy it provides to learners. Practicing alone with only a video record was reported to boost self-confidence especially with participants, who had little to no experience of practing handstand before the intervention study. More experienced participants reported less improvement with their handstand skill. The nonexistent amount of feedback from the teacher during practice sessions was reported to be the biggest single detriment of follow along video records. It is worthwhile to consider also, when the use of same video is purposeful?
