Intervalliharjoittelussa lyhyiden ty\u00f6skentelyjaksojen ja sarjojen v\u00e4listen palautusten ansiosta pystyt\u00e4\u00e4n harjoittelemaan suurella intensiteetill\u00e4, mink\u00e4 johdosta urheilijan taloudellisuus entist\u00e4 suuremmilla nopeuksilla paranee. Intervalliharjoittelulla pyrit\u00e4\u00e4n kehitt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n syd\u00e4n- ja hengityselimist\u00f6n toimintaa sek\u00e4 fyysist\u00e4 suorituskyky\u00e4. T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on vertailla lyhyiden ja pitkien intervallien vaikutuksia kest\u00e4vyysjuoksu suoritukseen, anaerobiseen suorituskykyyn sek\u00e4 hermolihasj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n toimintaan.\n\nTutkittavat olivat 20-38-vuotiaita kest\u00e4vyysharjoitelleita miehi\u00e4 ja naisia, jotka jaettiin ensimm\u00e4isen testiviikon j\u00e4lkeen kahteen eri ryhm\u00e4\u00e4n, lyhyisiin intervalleihin (SI, n=5) ja pitkiin intervalleihin (LI, n=5). Tutkimuksessa suoritettiin nelj\u00e4n viikon harjoitusjakso, jonka aikana suoritettiin yhteens\u00e4 10 intervalliharjoitusta. Harjoittelujakson aikana harjoittelu sis\u00e4lsi ainoastaan joko lyhyit\u00e4 intervalleja (3*10* 30 s 90\u201395 %/ Vmax) tai pitki\u00e4 intervalleja (4*4min 80\u201385 %/Vmax). Tutkimuksen mittaukset sis\u00e4lsiv\u00e4t MART-testin (maksimaalinen anaerobinen juoksutesti), maksimaalisen hapenottokyvyn testin sek\u00e4 20 metrin nopeustestin ennen harjoittelujaksoa ja sen j\u00e4lkeen.\n\nIntervalliharjoittelun seurauksena LI-ryhm\u00e4 paransi harjoitusjakson aikana tilastollisesti merkitsev\u00e4sti maksimaalista hapenottokyky\u00e4 (VO2max) (45.5 \u00b1 4.4 vs. 48.0 \u00b1 5.0 ml/kg/min, p= 0.043) MART-testin maksiminopeutta (VMART) (20.3 \u00b1 1.4 vs. 21.1 \u00b1 2.2 km/h, p=0.042), MART-testin 12.7 km/h palautussykett\u00e4 (153 \u00b1 18 vs. 146 \u00b1 18 bpm, p=0.043) sek\u00e4 esikevennyshypyn nousukorkeutta (CMJpre) (27.7 \u00b1 10.5 vs. 29.0 \u00b1 11.2 cm, p=0.043). SI-ryhm\u00e4n tuloksissa havaittiin tilastollisesti merkitsev\u00e4 muutos MART-testin 17.1 km/h kuorman palautussykkeess\u00e4 (HRpal) 132 \u00b1 19 & 117 \u00b1 31 bpm, p=0.042) sek\u00e4 post 0 esikevennyshypyiss\u00e4 (CMJpost0) (32.8 \u00b1 5.2 vs. 31.2 \u00b1 4.9 cm, p=0.042). Tutkimuksessa ei havaittu tilastollisesti merkitsevi\u00e4 eroja ryhmien v\u00e4lisess\u00e4 vertailussa.\n\nT\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tulosten perusteella LI-menetelm\u00e4ll\u00e4 tehty intervalliharjoittelu kehitti maksimaalista hapenottokyky\u00e4, anaerobista suorituskyky\u00e4 sek\u00e4 r\u00e4j\u00e4ht\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4 voimantuottoa. LI-ryhm\u00e4ll\u00e4 havaittiin, ett\u00e4 harjoitusjakson aikana kehittynyt VMART on yhteydess\u00e4 parantuneeseen suoran testin suorituskykyyn. LI-menetelm\u00e4ll\u00e4 kehittyneet ominaisuudet ovat kest\u00e4vyysjuoksu suorituksen kannalta oleellisia, mutta suorituskyvyn maksimoimiseksi intervalliharjoittelun tulisi kuitenkin sis\u00e4lt\u00e4\u00e4 my\u00f6s SI-menetelm\u00e4n tapaisia lyhyit\u00e4 intervalleja, joilla pystyt\u00e4\u00e4n kehitt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n juoksijan taloudellisuutta entist\u00e4 suuremmilla nopeuksilla, mik\u00e4 vaikuttaa positiivisesti kest\u00e4vyysjuoksun lopputuloksen kannalta t\u00e4rkeisiin irtiotto- ja loppukirikykyyn.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "Interval training has been found to be an effective and practical training method to develop endurance performance in both amateurs and athletes. Short work cycles and short resting periods between sets gives possibility to train higher intensity than in continuous training. Interval training improves athlete\u2019s physical performance which includes economy in higher speeds and cardiovascular and respiratory function as well. The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of short and long intervals to endurance running performance, anaerobic performance, and neuromuscular adaptations.\n\nThe subjects were 20-38 years old endurance trained men and women. Subjects were divided into two different groups (short intervals (SI, n=5) and long intervals (LI, n=5)) after first test week. The study included a four-week training period during which a total of 10 interval exercises were performed. During the training period, the training included only either short intervals (3 * 10 * 30 s 90\u201395% / Vmax) or long intervals (4 * 4min 80\u201385% / Vmax). Measurements in the study included the MART test (maximum anaerobic running test), a maximum oxygen uptake test, and a 20-meter speed test before and after the training period.\n\nAs a result of the interval training, the LI group improved statistically significantly the VO2max ml/kg/min (45.5 \u00b1 4.4 vs. 48.0 \u00b1 5.0 ml/kg/min, p= 0.043), VMART (20.3 \u00b1 1.4 vs. 21.1 \u00b1 2.2), p = 0.042), CMJpre (27.7 \u00b1 10.5 vs. 29 \u00b1 11.2, p = 0.043) and MART 12.7 km / h recovery heart rate (153 \u00b1 18.1 vs.145.8 \u00b1 17.6, p=0.043). A statistically significant change was observed in the SI group MART 17.1 km / h recovery heart rate (HRpal) (132 \u00b1 19 vs. 117 \u00b1 31, p=0.042) and CMJpost0 (32.8 \u00b1 5.2 vs. 31.2 \u00b1 4.9, p = 0.042). The study did not find statistically significant differences between groups.\n\nBased on the results of this study, interval exercises performed by the LI method develop maximal oxygen uptake, anaerobic performance, and explosive power output. In the LI group, it was found that developed VMART during the training period is associated with improved VO2max test performance.
