SAFe-viitekehys on organisaatioon implementoitava skaalautuva ketter\u00e4 kehitysmenetelm\u00e4, jonka pyrkimyksen\u00e4 on mahdollistaa ketterien kehitysmenetelmien implementointi suurempiin organisaatioihin, perinteisen tiimikoon sijasta. Ketterien menetelmien skaalaaminen on haastavaa, koska menetelm\u00e4t on alun perin tarkoitettu pienille, yhden kehitystiimin sis\u00e4lt\u00e4ville organisaatioille, joten SAFe:n tyylisi\u00e4 viitekehyksi\u00e4 ei l\u00f6ydy useita. Tutkielmassa tutkittiin SAFe-viitekehyksen implementointia ja mit\u00e4 hy\u00f6tyj\u00e4 sek\u00e4 mahdollisuuksia se tarjoaa yrityksille. Tutkielma toteutettiin kirjallisuuskatsauksena, jonka aineistona oli SAFe perustajan Scaled Agile kirjoittamia raportteja, tutkimuksia viitekehyksen implementoinnista sek\u00e4 kirjallisuuskatsauksia liittyen aiheeseen. Scaled Agilen raporteissa huomioitiin positiivinen s\u00e4vy omien tutkimusten suhteen sek\u00e4 vertaisarvioimattomuus. SAFe-viitekehys sis\u00e4lt\u00e4\u00e4 useassa kohtaa Scrum-kehitysmenetelm\u00e4n mukaista toimintaa, joka n\u00e4htiin t\u00e4rke\u00e4n\u00e4 osana prosessia. Tutkimuskysymykseni on: mit\u00e4 mahdollisuuksia ja hy\u00f6ty\u00e4 SAFe-viitekehyksen implementoinnista on yritykselle? Kirjallisuuskatsauksessa vertailtiin ja yhdistettiin Scaled Agilen kirjoittamia raportteja sek\u00e4 muita tutkimuksia. Tutkimuksesta selvisi, ett\u00e4 SAFe-viitekehyksen implementointi parantaa erityisesti organisaation sis\u00e4ist\u00e4 kommunikaatiota sek\u00e4 yhteisty\u00f6t\u00e4 eri osastojen v\u00e4lill\u00e4 suurissa organisaatioissa. Onnistuneella implementoinnilla saavutetaan my\u00f6s taloudellista hy\u00f6ty\u00e4 alentuneiden kustannusten johdosta. My\u00f6s julkaistun ohjelmiston laatu sek\u00e4 uusien versioiden julkaisu kasvoi vertailtavana olevissa yrityksiss\u00e4. SAFe framework is a scalable agile framework implemented to an enterprise. Its goal is to enable traditional agile methods, such as Scrum, to a larger unit, rather than one team. Scaling agile methods is difficult, because they were initially created and meant for small ventures containing one development team. I researched the SAFe frameworks implementation and what it brings to an enterprise in terms of pros and opportunities. The research was conducted as a literature review. The material used for this literature review was Scaled Agile websites case-studies, research of the implementation process and other literature reviews. This thesis acknowledges the fact that non-peer reviewed articles usually present positive findings which may skew the results. SAFe framework contains activities resembling the Scrum method, which was seen as an important part of the developing process in SAFe. My research question was: what opportunities and pros does SAFe frameworks implementation enable for the enterprise? In this literature review the main findings were that, when implementing the SAFe framework, communication between teams and internally in the company was improved, and cooperation between teams was also improved. Successful implementation also achieves economic advantages such as lowered costs of development. Also, the quality of the product was improved and the rate at which newer versions of a system are shipped was higher. The success factors when implementing a SAFe framework was making a large organization agile and scaling the processes of smaller organizations to a more comprehensive use in a larger organization. When a successful implementation was reached, the previously mentioned factors were better and higher, and the internal processes of the organization became more efficient.
