K\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6noton aikataulu venyy, budjetti ylittyy, j\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4 ei vastaa asiakkaan tarpeita tai aikaansaa toivottuja hy\u00f6tyj\u00e4. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 pro gradu \u2013 tutkielmassa tutkitaan myyntiprosessin vaikutusta toiminnanohjausj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6nottoprosessin onnistumiseen, ja se tehtiin yhteisty\u00f6ss\u00e4 suomalaisen ohjelmistoyrityksen kanssa. Tutkimuksessa pyrit\u00e4\u00e4n vastaamaan tutkimuskysymykseen \u201dMiten myyntiprosessi vaikuttaa toiminnanohjausj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6nottoprosessin onnistumiseen?\u201d. Tutkimus koostuu kirjallisuuskatsauksesta ja empiirisest\u00e4 osuudesta, joka toteutettiin m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4llisen\u00e4 tutkimuksena. Kirjallisuuskatsauksessa m\u00e4\u00e4ritell\u00e4\u00e4n toiminnanohjausj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4 ja k\u00e4yd\u00e4\u00e4n l\u00e4pi sen historiaa, k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6nottoprosessia ja B2B-myyntiprosessia. T\u00e4m\u00e4n lis\u00e4ksi kuvataan yhteisty\u00f6yrityksen prosessit myynnin ja k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6noton osalta. Empiirisess\u00e4 osuudessa tutkittavia projekteja oli yhteens\u00e4 24 kappaletta, ja aineistoja oli kaksi: myyntiprosessin merkinn\u00e4t sek\u00e4 asiakasyrityksille tehdyn k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6noton kyselyn vastaukset. Myyntiprosessin vaikutuksia toiminnanohjausj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6nottoprosessiin ei ole tutkittu aikaisemmin, joten tutkimuksen tavoitteena on tuottaa k\u00e4yt\u00e4nn\u00f6nl\u00e4heist\u00e4 tietoa yhteisty\u00f6yrityksen arkisen toiminnan kehitt\u00e4miseen, sek\u00e4 luoda suuntaa tulevaisuuden tieteelliselle tutkimukselle. Aikaisempi tutkimus toiminnanohjausj\u00e4rjestelmien k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6nottoprosesseista keskittyy p\u00e4\u00e4asiassa isompiin yrityksiin, t\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen keskittyess\u00e4 talotekniikan ja rakentamisen toimialan pieniin yrityksiin. Tutkimustulokset osoittavat, ett\u00e4 ensimm\u00e4isen yhteydenoton tekij\u00e4ll\u00e4 ei ollut vaikutusta k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6nottoprosessin onnistumiseen. They are a key part of a company\u2019s business, but unfortunately often ERP implementation processes fail. The implementation process\u2019 schedule and budget are exceeded and the system does not answer customer needs or provide desired benefits. This master 's thesis examines the impact of the sales process on the success of the ERP system implementation process, and it was done in cooperation with a Finnish software company. The study aims to answer the research question \u201cHow does the sales process affect the success of the ERP system implementation process?\u201d. The study includes a literature review and an empirical section that was conducted as a quantitative study. The literature review defines the ERP system and reviews its history, implementation process, and B2B sales process. In addition to previous, the partner company's processes for sales and implementation are described. In the empirical part, there were a total of 24 projects to be studied, and there were two materials: entries in the sales process and the answers to the implementation survey for customer companies. The effects of the sales process on the ERP implementation process have not been studied before, so the aim of the study is to produce practical information for the development of the day-to-day operations of the partner company, and to create direction for future scientific research. Previous research on ERP implementation processes focuses mainly on larger companies, but this research is focusing on small companies in the building and construction industries. The results of the study show that the maker of the first contact had no effect on the success of the deployment process. In addition to that, the study found that after more than one appointment sales processes, customers were satisfied with the implementation process.
