T\u00e4ss\u00e4 pro gradu -tutkielmassa tarkastellaan organisaation sis\u00e4ist\u00e4 palauteviestint\u00e4\u00e4 eli palautekulttuuria. P\u00e4\u00e4tutkimusteht\u00e4v\u00e4n\u00e4 oli kartoittaa millaisena l\u00e4hijohtajat ja alaiset kokevat palauteviestinn\u00e4n ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6ss\u00e4\u00e4n. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli my\u00f6s t\u00e4ydent\u00e4\u00e4 aiempaa tutkimuskirjallisuutta palauteviestinn\u00e4st\u00e4 suomalaisten nopeasti kasvavien keskisuurten organisaatioiden kontekstissa. \n\nAihetta l\u00e4hestyttiin selvitt\u00e4m\u00e4ll\u00e4 sek\u00e4 l\u00e4hijohtajien ett\u00e4 alaisten palautek\u00e4sityksi\u00e4, l\u00e4hijohtaja-alaissuhteen vaikutusta palauteviestint\u00e4\u00e4n ja yleisi\u00e4 kokemuksia palautetilanteista ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6ss\u00e4. Tutkimus toteutettiin toimeksiantona Admicom Finland Oy:ss\u00e4 laadullisella tutkimusmenetelm\u00e4ll\u00e4. Aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin puolistrukturoidun teemahaastattelun avulla ja haastatteluihin valittiin yhteens\u00e4 12 organisaatiossa ty\u00f6skentelev\u00e4\u00e4 l\u00e4hijohtajaa ja alaista. Haastatteluaineisto analysoitiin laadullista sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysi\u00e4 hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4en. \n\nVallitseva palautekulttuuri ja l\u00e4hijohtajien rakentamat palauteilmapiirit koettiin p\u00e4\u00e4osin toimiviksi. Palautteeseen suhtauduttiin my\u00f6nteisesti ja sit\u00e4 toivottiin enemm\u00e4n p\u00e4ivitt\u00e4isest\u00e4 ty\u00f6skentelyst\u00e4. Hyv\u00e4t l\u00e4hijohtaja-alaissuhteet helpottavat vastavuoroisen viestinn\u00e4n toteutumista, joka edesauttaa palautetilanteiden syntymist\u00e4. Yl\u00f6sp\u00e4in suuntautuva palauteviestint\u00e4 n\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytyy kuitenkin v\u00e4h\u00e4isen\u00e4 ja sit\u00e4 esiintyy l\u00e4hinn\u00e4 muodollisten palautetilanteiden yhteydess\u00e4. \n\nPalautteen riitt\u00e4vyydess\u00e4 havaittiin selv\u00e4 jako organisatorisen aseman perusteella, joka todenn\u00e4k\u00f6isesti johtuu palautek\u00e4sitysten eroavaisuuksista. Alaiset tulkitsivat palautteeksi varsin ep\u00e4muodollista viestint\u00e4\u00e4 omaksuessaan ty\u00f6ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6st\u00e4\u00e4n enemm\u00e4n palautesignaaleja. L\u00e4hijohtajat kokivat palauteviestinn\u00e4n riitt\u00e4m\u00e4tt\u00f6m\u00e4ksi etenkin horisontaalisesti ja organisaation ylemm\u00e4lt\u00e4 johtoportaalta. Organisaation palauteviestinn\u00e4n haasteena n\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytyykin organisaation nopea kasvu, itsen\u00e4inen ty\u00f6skentely ja tiedonpuute.
