T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkielman tarkoituksena on selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 yli 75\u2013vuotiaiden kokemuksia kyberturvallisuudesta. Kyberturvallisuutta tutkitaan yleens\u00e4 yritysten teknologisesta n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta ja yleisesti ottaen kyberturvallisuuteen liittyv\u00e4 tutkimus on ollut v\u00e4h\u00e4ist\u00e4. Kyberturvallisuuteen liittyy olennaisena osana ihminen ja kyberrikollisuus kohdistuu ik\u00e4\u00e4ntyneiden m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4n kasvaessa enenev\u00e4ss\u00e4 m\u00e4\u00e4rin ik\u00e4\u00e4ntyneit\u00e4 kohtaan. Tutkimusta motivoi kyberturvallisuuden ajankohtaisuus, inhimillinen n\u00e4k\u00f6kulma teknologian sijaan sek\u00e4 tutkimusryhm\u00e4n rajaaminen yli 75\u2013vuotiaisiin. Tutkimuksen viitekehyksen\u00e4 on ik\u00e4\u00e4ntyneiden henkil\u00f6kohtaiset kokemukset kyberturvallisuudesta teknologisen n\u00e4k\u00f6kulman sijaan. \n\nT\u00e4m\u00e4 tutkimus on luonteeltaan m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4llinen sek\u00e4 laadullinen, pohjautuen aiempaan kirjallisuuteen sek\u00e4 suoritettuun kyselytutkimukseen. Tutkimuksen laadullisen aineiston ker\u00e4\u00e4misessa k\u00e4ytettiin kyselylomaketta, johon oli mahdollista vastata internetiss\u00e4 tai paperisena. At the same time, the age structure of our population will change as life expectancy increases and the retirement age population grows. The purpose of this study is to examine the experiences that people over the age of 75 have with cybersecurity. Cybersecurity is usually studied from the technological point of view and in general, research related to cybersecurity has been limited. Human security is an integral part of cybersecurity, and cybercrime is increasingly targeted at older people. The research is motivated by the need for greater understanding of the human respective, rather than the technological one. Particularly, from the perspective of research deficiencies related to those over 75 years of age as a research subject. \n\nThis study is quantitative and qualitative, and has been informed by previous literature that aided in the formulation of a questionnaire. The questionnaire was used to collect empirical data from the study, which could be completed online or paper. \n\nThe aim of the results was to get the most accurate picture as possible of older people's experiences of cybersecurity, what cyberattack situations they have been in, how they have experienced and reported on the topic, and whether they have received cybersecurity training and they think it is needed. The sample size is small, so general conclusions for the whole age group cannot be drawn. Based on the earlier surveys the results suggest, contrary to assumptions, that seniors are well versed in cybersecurity and protection against various attacks. They take care of their own safety and know whom to notify if they are the target of a cyber-attack.
