Teknostressin on todettu aiheuttavan ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6ille monia ei-toivottuja seurauksia, kuten uupumusta ja heikentynytt\u00e4 ty\u00f6tehokkuutta. Esimerkkej\u00e4 teknostressi\u00e4 aiheuttavista tekij\u00f6ist\u00e4 ovat esimerkiksi teknologian jatkuva muutos ja uusien kasvavien teknologioiden k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6notto. Henkil\u00f6kohtaiset \u00e4lykk\u00e4\u00e4t avustajat ovat yksi n\u00e4ist\u00e4 uusista kasvavista teknologioista. Henkil\u00f6kohtaisten \u00e4lykk\u00e4iden avustajien omanlaatuinen vuorovaikutukseen perustuva k\u00e4ytt\u00f6kokemus aiheuttaa uudenlaisia haasteita niit\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4ville ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6ille. T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tarkoituksena onkin tutkia teknostressin ja henkil\u00f6kohtaisten \u00e4lykk\u00e4iden avustajien ty\u00f6k\u00e4yt\u00f6n yhteytt\u00e4. T\u00e4ll\u00e4 hetkell\u00e4 kyseisest\u00e4 aiheesta on vain v\u00e4h\u00e4n tietoa. T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on tarjota uutta ymm\u00e4ryst\u00e4 teknostressin ja henkil\u00f6kohtaisten \u00e4lykk\u00e4iden avustajien suhteesta tarkastelemalla, kuinka teknostressi ilmenee henkil\u00f6kohtaisten \u00e4lykk\u00e4iden avustajien ty\u00f6k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4. Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin mahdollisia teknostressin aiheuttajia, ja sit\u00e4 kuinka henkil\u00f6kohtaisten \u00e4lykk\u00e4iden avustajien suunnitteluperiaatteet linkittyv\u00e4t teknostressin aiheuttajiin. Lis\u00e4ksi tarkasteltiin teknostressin seurauksia henkil\u00f6kohtaisten avustajien ty\u00f6k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4. Tutkimus suoritettiin hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4en laadullisia tutkimusmenetelmi\u00e4 ja tutkimusaineisto ker\u00e4ttiin teemahaastatteluin. Tutkimukseen haastateltiin 20 henkil\u00f6kohtaisten \u00e4lykk\u00e4iden avustajien ty\u00f6k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4\u00e4 erilaisista organisaatioista. Tutkimustulokset osoittavat, ett\u00e4 teknostressi\u00e4 voi ilmet\u00e4 henkil\u00f6kohtaisten \u00e4lykk\u00e4iden avustajien ty\u00f6k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4. Monet teknostressin aiheuttajat, kuten teknologiasta johtuva ylikuormitus ja teknologiaan liittyv\u00e4 ep\u00e4varmuus, aiheuttivat teknostressi\u00e4 henkil\u00f6kohtaisten \u00e4lykk\u00e4iden avustajien k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4. Tutkimuksessa l\u00f6ydettiin my\u00f6s kaksi uutta teknostressin aiheuttajaa, kommunikaatiohaasteet ja ep\u00e4realistiset odotukset, jotka liittyiv\u00e4t kiinte\u00e4sti henkil\u00f6kohtaisten \u00e4lykk\u00e4iden avustajien erityispiirteisiin. Kaikki henkil\u00f6kohtaisten \u00e4lykk\u00e4iden avustajien suunnitteluperiaatteista, yht\u00e4 lukuun ottamatta, olivat yhteydess\u00e4 teknostressin aiheuttajiin. Not all these impacts are positive, and one of the negative effects of information technology use is a phenomenon called technostress. Technostress has been found to cause many adverse effects on individual employees, such as exhaustion and decreased productivity. Some of the causes for technostress are the constant technological change and the adoption of new emerging technologies. One of the current emerging technologies is the smart personal assistant. The unique interactive way of using smart personal assistants provides its own set of challenges for the user. Thus, this study aims to examine the connection between technostress and smart personal assistants. Currently, the understanding of the connection between technostress and smart personal assistants is limited. This study provides new insights to both technostress and smart personal assistant research by examining how technostress emerges in the work-based use of smart personal assistants. These insights were gathered by examining how the context-specific design principles of smart personal assistants are connected to the creators of technostress. Adverse technostress outcomes were also examined. This study was conducted using a qualitative research approach involving semi-structured interviews of 20 smart personal assistant users from multiple organizations. The results suggest that technostress can occur in the work-based use of smart personal assistants. Many technostress creators, such as techno-overload and techno-uncertainty, were found to cause technostress in smart personal assistant use. Two new technostress creators, communication challenges, and unrealistic expectations, closely related to smart personal assistant interaction, were also introduced. All but one of the smart personal assistant design principles were also connected to many of the technostress creators.
