Lis\u00e4ksi tarkoituksena oli tarkastella eroja fyysisen aktiivisuuden, urheiluseurassa harrastamisen, koetun liikunnallisen p\u00e4tevyyden ja liikunnan arvosanan mukaan. Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin my\u00f6s liikunnanopetuksen tavoitteiden t\u00e4rkeytt\u00e4 v\u00e4h\u00e4n liikkuvien, urheiluseuratoiminnan ulkopuolella olevien, heikon liikunnallisen p\u00e4tevyyden kokeneiden ja heikon liikunnan arvosanan saaneiden nuorten n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta.\nTutkimuksen aineisto koostui \u201dLasten ja nuorten liikuntak\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytyminen Suomessa 2018 (LIITU)\u201d -tutkimuksen osa-aineistosta (n=1120). Kyselyyn vastanneet nuoret olivat 7.-ja 9. -luokkalaisia poikia ja tytt\u00f6j\u00e4. Tutkimuksessa k\u00e4ytettiin sovellettua Koululiikunnan pedagogiset ulottuvuudet- mittaria liikunnanopetuksen tavoitteiden tarkastelussa. Lis\u00e4ksi fyysist\u00e4 aktiivisuutta tarkastelin liikkumisen useudella ja koettua liikunnallista p\u00e4tevyytt\u00e4 v\u00e4itt\u00e4m\u00e4ll\u00e4 \u201dolen hyv\u00e4 liikunnassa\u201d. Tilastollisina analyysimenetelmin\u00e4 k\u00e4ytettiin suoria jakaumia, ristiintaulukointia ja khiin neli\u00f6testi\u00e4.\nTutkimuksen tulosten mukaan tyt\u00f6t pitiv\u00e4t liikunnanopetuksen tavoitteita tilastollisesti merkitsev\u00e4sti yleisemmin t\u00e4rke\u00e4mpin\u00e4 kuin pojat luokkatasosta riippumatta. Luokkatasojen v\u00e4lisess\u00e4 tarkastelussa ei l\u00f6ytynyt niin merkitsevi\u00e4 eroja tavoitteiden t\u00e4rkeyden kokemisessa. Liikunnanopetuksen tavoitteiden t\u00e4rkeimm\u00e4t merkitykset olivat nuorilla yleisesti ottaen samanlaisia ryhm\u00e4st\u00e4 riippumatta. T\u00e4rkeimpin\u00e4 tekij\u00f6in\u00e4 liikunnanopetuksessa koettiin hauskuus, terveyden edist\u00e4minen ja hyv\u00e4 ilmapiiri. V\u00e4hemm\u00e4n t\u00e4rkeiksi koettiin hikoileminen, heng\u00e4styminen ja kuntotestien merkitys.\nTutkimukseni antaa kuvailevaa tietoa liikunnanopetuksen tavoitteiden t\u00e4rkeydest\u00e4. Liikunnanopetuksen ryhm\u00e4t koostuvat hyvin erilaisista nuorista, joilla kaikilla on omat arvot, asenteet, taustat ja kiinnostuksen kohteet. Tutkimus laajensi n\u00e4kemyst\u00e4 erilaisten oppilaiden liikunnanopetuksen tavoitteille annetuista merkityksist\u00e4. Tulosten pohjalta voidaan paremmin kohdentaa liikunnanopetuksen tavoitteita ja toimia erilaisten oppilaiden tarpeiden mukaisesti. Additionally, the purpose was to examinate differences in the meanings given to the goals of physical education by physical activity, organized sports, perceived physical competence, and the grade in physical education. The study also looked at the importance of physical education goals from the perspective of low physical activity, out-of-sport youth, low perceived physical competence, and the low grade in physical education.\nThe data of this study consists of the data of the \u201cLasten ja Nuorten liikuntak\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytyminen Suomessa 2018\u201d (LIITU) research (n=1120). Respondents of the questionnaire were 7th and 9th grade boys and girls. In this study I used customized Pedagogical Dimensions in Physical Education Inventory to look at physical education goals. Additionally, I looked at physical activity with frequency of movement and perceived physical competence by claiming \u201cI am good at exercise\u201d. Direct distributions, crosstabs, and Chi-Square test were used as statistical methods of analysis.\nAccording to the results of the study, girls considered the goals of physical education to be statistically significantly more important than boys regardless of class level. The examination between the class levels did not find such significant differences in the perception the importance of the goals. The main meanings of the goals of physical education were generally similar for young people regardless of the group. Fun, health promotion and a good atmosphere were perceived as the most important goals in physical education. Sweating, shortness of breath, and the importance of fitness test were felt to be less important.\nMy research provides descriptive information about the importance of physical education goals. Physical educations groups are made up of very different young people, each with their own values, attitudes, backgrounds, and interests. The study broadened the view on the meanings given to the goals of physical education in different students. Based on the results, it is possible to target the goals of physical education better and act according to the needs of different students.
