T\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa kartoitetaan englannin opettajien ja oppilaiden k\u00e4sityksi\u00e4 opettajapalautteen merkityksest\u00e4 oppilaiden motivaatioon. Tutkimuksessa keskityt\u00e4\u00e4n erityisesti yhteen kielen oppimisen osa-alueeseen motivaation kannalta: oppilaiden englannin kirjallisten taitojen parantamiseen. Tutkimus toteutettiin kahdella Webropol-kyselylomakkeella, joista ensimm\u00e4inen toteutettiin Suomen lukioiden englannin opettajille joulukuussa 2020, ja toinen lukioiden englannin kolmannen vuosikurssin opiskelijoille tammikuussa 2021. Aineisto koostui 14 opettajien ja 21 opiskelijoiden vastauksista. Tutkimuksessa selvitettiin kuinka opettajat ja oppilaat kokevat opettajapalautteen t\u00e4rkeyden, sek\u00e4 millaiseksi he kokevat palautteen ja motivaation v\u00e4lisen suhteen englannin kirjallisten taitojen parantamisessa. T\u00e4t\u00e4 tutkittiin analysoimalla ja vertailemalla opettajien ja oppilaiden vastauksia. \n\nTutkimuksen analysoinnissa k\u00e4ytettiin sek\u00e4 laadullisia ett\u00e4 m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4llisi\u00e4 menetelmi\u00e4. T\u00e4rkeimm\u00e4t tutkimuksen l\u00f6yd\u00f6kset osoittavat, ett\u00e4 opettajat ja oppilaat kokevat palautteen ja motivaation suhteen melko samalla tavalla, ja ett\u00e4 he ovat l\u00e4hes samaa mielt\u00e4 eniten motivoivista palautemuodoista. Kuitenkin vahvoja eri\u00e4vi\u00e4 mielipiteit\u00e4 aiheuttivat jotkut opettajien k\u00e4ytt\u00e4m\u00e4t palautetavat, jotka oppilaat kokivat kaikista v\u00e4hiten motivoiviksi. Lis\u00e4ksi oppilailla oli hyvin eri n\u00e4kemys tekstien korjattujen versioiden kirjoittamisesta. T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tulosten pohjalta voidaan p\u00e4\u00e4tell\u00e4, ett\u00e4 opettajapalautteella ja oppilaiden motivaatiolla on hyvinkin selv\u00e4 suhde toisiinsa. Analysoinnissa huomattiin, kuinka osa oppilaista voi helposti kuitenkin olla erimielt\u00e4 kuin muut, sek\u00e4 my\u00f6s opettajien k\u00e4sitykset palautteen antamisesta voivat erota paljonkin oppilaiden n\u00e4kemyksist\u00e4.
