Description
Summary:The aim of this study was to analyze the relationships between analyze the relationships between an individual's self-concept, self-esteem and sense of life control as related to his/her self-evaluated intrapreneurship. The main question of the study was as follows: How do an individual's self-concept, self-esteem and sense of life control explain his/her self-evaluated qualities of intrapreneurship? The main question was approached with the help of the following subordinate questions: 1. How do the administration and business students and graduates themselves assess their self-concept, their self-esteem, their sense of life control and their qualities of intrapreneurship? 2. What basic dimensions can be identified in the self-concept, self-esteem, sense of life control and [conception of] the characteristics of intrapreneurial qualities of administration and business students' and graduates'? 3. What connections can be recognized between self-concept, self-esteem, sense of life control and the qualities of intrapreneurship? In the theoretical part of the study a conception of an individual's mental growth toward intrapreneurship is created. The basic suppositions are a humanistic idea of the human being and a view of learning. The individual's development into an intrapreneur is a process of mental growth, in which he/ she tries to acquire metacognitive skills in addition to intrapreneurial qualities. The empirical study was done by using quantitative method. The questionnaire was given or sent by mail to 696 persons. Of these, 411 approved responses were obtained. The follow-up analysis was carried out by means of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The correlations between the main dimensions varied from 0.52 to 0.99 showing, expectedly, very high positive connections.
