Tutkimuksessa keskityt\u00e4\u00e4n erilaisiin videopelien menestykseen vaikuttaviin tekij\u00f6ihin ja syihin, jotka tekev\u00e4t niist\u00e4 erityisi\u00e4 videopelialalle. Ensimm\u00e4isess\u00e4 sis\u00e4lt\u00f6luvussa k\u00e4yd\u00e4\u00e4n l\u00e4pi videopelialan rakennetta, mobiilipelialaa ja k\u00e4ytt\u00e4jien merkityst\u00e4 pelialalle. Toisessa sis\u00e4lt\u00f6luvussa puhutaan pelinkehitt\u00e4j\u00e4n vaikutusmahdollisuuksista pelin menestykseen pelien laatuominaisuuksien, ansaintamallien, innovaation ja markkinointiviestinn\u00e4n kautta. Kolmannessa sis\u00e4lt\u00f6luvussa kerrotaan pelialan yhteis\u00f6jen ja sosiaalisten yhteyksien merkityksest\u00e4. Siin\u00e4 puhutaan yhteis\u00f6jen hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4misest\u00e4, k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4l\u00e4ht\u00f6isest\u00e4 jakamisesta, sosiaalisesta p\u00e4\u00e4omasta ja peliarvosteluista. Toisen ja kolmannen sis\u00e4lt\u00f6luvun tekij\u00e4t m\u00e4\u00e4ritt\u00e4v\u00e4t yhdess\u00e4 t\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen pelien menestyst\u00e4 edist\u00e4v\u00e4t tekij\u00e4t. Tutkimustuloksissa menestystekij\u00e4t jaettiin kolmeen osa-alueeseen: rahan tuottamisen optimointiin, k\u00e4ytt\u00e4jien saaman arvon tuottamiseen ja pelin tunnettavuuden kasvattamiseen. Rahan tuottamisen optimointi n\u00e4htiin kriittisen\u00e4 asiana videopelien kaupalliselle menestykselle. Arvon tuottaminen k\u00e4ytt\u00e4jille ja pelin tunnettavuuden lis\u00e4\u00e4minen tukevat t\u00e4t\u00e4. Arvon tuottamisen todettiin lis\u00e4\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00e4jien ostohalukkuutta, k\u00e4ytt\u00e4jien v\u00e4list\u00e4 jakamista ja k\u00e4ytt\u00e4jien kiinnostusta pelata pidemp\u00e4\u00e4n. Tunnettavuuden kasvattaminen lis\u00e4\u00e4 uusien k\u00e4ytt\u00e4jien m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4\u00e4. Pelien menestykseen havaittiin kehittyv\u00e4n n\u00e4iden kolmen osa-alueen kautta. The research has been carried out as a written review and its intension has been to gather research on the topic. The research focuses on various factors affecting success of video games and on reasons that make them specific to the video game industry. First content chapter reviews the structure of the video game industry, the mobile gaming industry, and the importance of users for the gaming industry. The second content chapter talks about the game developer's ability to influence game's success through games' quality features, monetization models, innovation, and promotion. The third content chapter discusses the importance communities in gaming industry and the social connections. It talks about community exploitation, social capital, and game reviews. The factors in the second and the third content chapters together determine the factors that contribute to the success of the games in this study. The research results divide success factors into three components: optimizing money production, generating value to users, and increasing awareness of the game. Optimizing money generation was seen as critical subject to the commercial success of video games. Creating value for the users and increasing awareness of the game support this. Value creation was found to increase users' willingness to buy, user-based sharing, and users' interest in playing for longer. Increasing awareness increases the number of new users. The success of the games was found to develop through these three components.
